I remember when we went to spain, and my little brother was like 5 and he refused to go into any restaurant where people were smoking, but they were smoking in pretty much every restaurant, so he threw a fit and stood outside. Then he got scared and ran inside with the rest of us. :P

When I lived in Switzerland in 2008 most bars were filled with smoke,  and most restaurants had smoking sections.

It was so weird.

So we're going to have yet another storm today, oh yay. The wind was already quite strong as I tried to walk down a hill to my bus stop and that coupled with the mirror smooth ice (you get that a lot when you first have snow and then it melts just a little bit) made it more like involuntary skating down that hill, occasionally sideways. I think I made it in record time though!

Weather here remains that annoying sort of cold that seems to seep in no matter how many jumpers you wear, which I'm trying to solve by wearing even more jumpers. Fortunately, the preposterous amount of heat my laptop is giving off as I try and run some quite taxing calculations on it is working wonders for heating my hands up!

Weather eh? It's going to be 40C again tomorrow. But then it'll drop to 37 for Wednesday and be comparatively cool after that for a while, so it won't be too bad.

Australia is like our ferternal twin with the exact opposite weather.

Fun fact: according to the UN country groupings, Australia, Canada, and New Zealand are all considered part of Western Europe because of cultural similarity. The USA doesn't have a proper group, it just kinda sits there. It doesn't really need a group though because it's a permanent member of the council.

I've managed to make one archery glove (arrow hand)! The fit seems good, photos will appear in the archery thread sometime tonight.

Ravens have turned really noisy around where we live and there's far more of them hanging around these days. I guess spring is almost here, meaning in a month or two there'll be no more ravens as they've all moved to the countryside for the summer. I'll miss them, ravens are amazing.
