I feel your pain, truly. As an electronics person I have, unintentionally of course, tried to solder my finger into the circuit I was working on, and on multiple occasions over the years. I do hope you immediately stuck your hand in the snow. For anyone who gets a burn minor or major, chill it, really chill it as soon as possible. It will keep the blistering to an absolute minimum. As was noted the Aloe Vera raw, hack a leaf off and use that, really helps afterwards. I do hope you heal well. I'm sorry I didn't see this earlier.

I think I need to stop off and get some ibuprofen for the drive home.  That ONE turn on a slope I could barely ride that I knew I couldn't make and I went down pretty hard.   (Nothing broken but my pride, though).

I just finished watching the Gravity falls season/show finale, and



That was beautiful. A perfect ending to a perfect show, and now I'm feeling all sad/happy/weird inside.

I haven't watched Gravity Falls since s2e7 in 2014! I think I'm gonna binge watch the entire season 2 over the weekend.

See, it's TV.  I haven't owned a TV since 2008.  (Other than watching the World Cup matches, I pretty much don't do TV at all)

ETA:  Rather, I don't do TV anymore; I was certainly an avid watcher of Babylon 5, Dark Angel, the first season and change of Heroes, and the first two seasons of the revived Doctor Who.

For those not in the know, Gravity Falls is an American cartoon about two kids who get sent away to live with their great-uncle in his house in an Oregon backwater town for a summer. It's attracted quite the number of grown-up fans due (in part) to the quality and emotional depth of its writing.
(My current avatar is effectively me cosplaying as one of said kids)
I'd heartily recommend it to just about everyone!

I haven't watched TV on a TV for a similar length of time, but this being the internet there are ways around not owning one. Some of them do depend on how scrupulous you are, though...  ;)

Same here, besides there's very little on telly that I'd find interesting in the first place. Movies are much the same, I can concentrate on them a little better if I'm in a movie theatre but even there I sometimes just drift off and start thinking of something else, missing huge chunks of the actual movie. I need something Mad Max: Fury Road -level engaging to actually watch a movie from the start to the end.

Can I join your club ? I don't have a TV anymore since a few years and don't miss it at all. (I wasn't using it a lot before. Why TV when I can have books ?) Well, there is one old TV here, but my housemates only use it to watch some news sometimes.
