- Wow, suddenly I can't art at all what happened.
- Why am I making faces while I draw faces? This doesn't happen with watercolours.
- Why do I keep turning my tablet to try to rotate the canvas?
- Wow I feel like a moron. Also have I done anything productive all day, no.

Tablets! Yeah, learning to do art with a different medium always seems to be tough, doesn't it? But digital = the glory that is ctrl-Z (...or the back button, depending). So easy to fix mistakes!

Jumping from conventional mediums to a tablet might be one of the most frustrating experience I've had.

Róisín, welcome among the people who think that Paris has a bad smell, including the metro - which is probably the worst. Last summer, I spent one week elsewhere in France (mountain area, then South) and coming back to Paris had been a shock because of this smell I assume it's a big city's problem... and that people get accustomed to it. Some people.

Interesting. I didn't notice much of anything there other than the eternal smell of cigarettes (because Parisians will, apparently, smoke anywhere it's not explicitly forbidden and a few places that it is).  (Sure, the occasional bits here and there, but you'll get that in just about any town somewhere).

Paris wasn't notably worse or better than London or New York or Chicago or Zurich.

it's been nonstop snowing all day. like FAFF 15 cm blanket of snow everywhere. couldn't go outside without instantly turning into a snowman. on my way home i saw a tiny kiddo trying to ski on the road. it's kinda nice hahaha

The sewer museum is in the sewers! They sectioned one off for public access and fitted informational displays into it. You get the history of the sewer system as well as in-action visual examples of how it works - actually pretty darn cool. But it does smell.

Then again that's weirdly one of the things about traditional that I actually like. One mistake and well, it's there, likely you won't be able to get it out. Might be you ruined the whole picture. Might be time to rage quit arting forever (= for five minutes, I'm too impatient for longer forevers). Well ok I can't say I haven't needed ctrl-Z quite a lot so far...

Oh you don't say. It's like my arms and hands were suddenly replaced by someone else's arms and the owner has no idea how I need them to move.
