Is it possible to get electrocuted if your laptop is plugged into the wall and there's a thunderstorm going on?
Because my laptop is plugged into the wall
And there's a thunderstorm going on
Compared to "tamed" forms of electricity like city power, lightning is teh havox and you're not going to get a
guarantee. I still remember the times when people were told to unplug their TV and stay away from their (land line) telephone and the bathtub during a thunderstorm.
Having that said, I'm not aware of anyone who's gotten
directly hurt by lightning within a building with proper grounding measures,
ever. I'd be more worried about your laptop, if at all. (I.e., think about surge protectors.)
