What's the fun of life if you don't have venomous sneks to worry about? Just remember no step on snek and you'll be fine.

I know, it's horrible. I get to spend my time lazing on the beach with a drink or hiking in the woods instead of doing anything FUN
Keep an eye on me. I shimmer on horizons.

Urbicande, that would feel really strange! Though at present I'm having to be more careful than usual in my garden, since we seem to have acquired a couple of new young brown snakes now that the weather is warming up, and I could really do without them. The bush over the road is being cleared for building, and I think they came from there, especially since the big old female brown who had lived in my garden for years died a month or so back. We've been having a winter of vicious storms, and in the last one she was washed out of her winter shelter. I found her dead halfway down the backyard where the water had dropped her, very battered and probably drowned, poor thing.

These new guys haven't yet worked out that I'm not dangerous, sadly. I hope we'll sort it out.

Weird? I *like* living where the wildlife isn't trying to kill me :)

I'd suggest moving to Ireland then.

I'd be happy to.  Find me a work visa and a job (actually, just the job. They'll take care of the work visa)

So it's September and there's a wasp nest somewhere outside of our workplace door. There's also very bad AC at the workplace so the door is almost always open. Add that no one at the workplace is great with wasps, and that my workmate will literally run and lock himself in the toilet if he sees one. That leaves usually just me alone to get rid of the wasp so working can continue, and I'm NOT about to try to catch them alive.

And that's how my nickname at the workplace is now "killer".

Yeah as if I don't hear that often enough at work! "If you need something killed call 555-Laufey!" "Where's all the knives - LAUFEY ARE YOU HOARDING KNIVES YOU KILLER" (btw I don't kill wasps with knives, I don't know where that one comes from)(I use insect killer spray like you know, you do) "Don't spray the art ok? Ok?"

Killing wasps with knives sounds like it would be very inefficient. It's probably for the best that you haven't attempted it. ;V

Hmmm... I guess it would be a bit expensive to call you here...

You just need a good aim.

In all honesty though, this is my immediate reaction to wasps.

I just spent literally hours trying to figure out how to get LaTeX to do this one simple thing.

So yeah, could really use some images of Sigrun killing wasps with a knife right about now.

Thank you urbicande, can we add that the day before yesterday I accidentally told a customer "Eyrnablik!" when I should have said "Augnablik!" Augnablik would mean "a blink of an eye" and is used as a "just a moment please!", eyrnablik... is an ear blink. My friends are trying to push me to use "eyrnablak" now, "a blap of an ear".  :-[
