Tyson vs Douglas by the Killers
Just an all around decent, somewhat wistful pop-rock song of the kind the Killers specialise in.
3WW by alt-J
I usually hate everything alt-J release but this song is strange and beautiful. I have
no idea what the clip is about though
Please Stay by Ali Barter
Another all around decent pop song. The first half of the clip is shot where I buy my groceries each week!
Blood Brothers by Amy Shark
Not sure what to say about this one except that I like it a lot
Creature Comfort by The Arcade Fire
Another band that I normally can't stand, but this track grabbed me the very first time I heard it. The lyrics address self harm and body issues.
It's all Good by Superorganism
Weird, glitchy pop with whales, talking goats and self help guru Tony Robins (who may in fact be a talking goat)
Young Dumb and Broke by Khalid
Don't know what it is about this one, but it really grabs me.
I'll Never Want A BF by Bec Sandridge
Frenetic and operatic track about how the singer wishes her mother would stop trying to set her up with guys when she already has a girlfriend
Science Fiction by The Belligerents
More catchy pop-rock with the singer apparently attempting to rescue a space dog
Not Worth Hiding by Alex the Astronaut
In my opinion the best song of the entire year. I'd love to see it come in at number one, but don't think it's likely, sadly.
