This is more of a music video/animation, but I thought this was one of the most beautiful things I'd ever seen. For anyone who was here on the forum's last birthday, it reminds me very much of the movie we watched, "9".

Oooh, Glory, that's very cool! It is a bit reminiscent of 9 for sure, but it has me thinking of the machinery in Amnesia, all swooshing pipes and cogs and stuff, but also a lot of Romantically Apocalyptic (though that's probably just because of the mask).

This is a very famous piece of music that was originally composed for the 1963 French film "Le mépris" ("Contempt") but was later reused in the 1995 film "Casino" by Scorcese. Funny thing: for a long time I didn't realise this was an original movie composition, I thought, especially because I had heard it from multiple sources, that it was some old piece of baroque music.

I don't want to monopolize the thread, but I spend waaaaaay too much time searching for new music on Youtube, and once in a while I run into a real gem. LET'S HEAR IT FOR NIGHTWISH, FELLOW MINNIONS!

Some days MIKA needs to be shared, and today is one of those days.

Edit: I haven't checked on what Christopher Tin's been up to for the past two years, and it seems, as always, it's something awesome.

The Song of the Sibyl is a liturgical drama and a Gregorian chant, the lyrics of which compose a prophecy describing the Apocalypse, which has been performed at some churches of Majorca (Balearic Islands, Spain) and Alghero (Sardinia, Italy), and some Catalan churches, in Catalan language on Christmas Eve nearly uninterruptedly since medieval times. It was declared a Masterpiece of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO on November 16, 2010.

I can't help but imagine that this is what really happens in Finland when people get drunk. I should ask my astronomy professor, she's from there.
