Hey guys, crazy idea but what if we started a book club? We could create a topic and decide on a book, read it, and then share our thoughts on the topic.

Hmmm, that actually sounds really fun. The only potential problem I can see is finding the books -- I mean, if it's something well-known the library'll probably have it, but...

I'd be totally down with a book club. I was thinking of doing something similar with my friends. I would be interested in trying it out online as well.

Hmmmm... yeah we would have to try and find stuff that is more popular. Sometimes in my book club when we couldn't agree on a book we'd have two or three books from a similar genre and each person would pick what they could get and we would meet up in a month and talk about what we thought and whether the others who didn't read the same book should (or shouldn't in some cases) read what we did. The books were all similar genres though so that we could have discussions that we could all relate our books to. It was pretty fun and we covered some interesting topics. So maybe if exact books is hard (because now I'm thinking about language barriers too) maybe we could have a theme each month (or week? I read like 3 books a day over the summer... this is not a lie, I could probably do four if I wanted) and then discuss what book we read and how it relates to that theme at the end of each month (or week).
(That was mostly just think as I type, so it's a bit stream of consciousness sorry)

Edit: This way people could read books in their native languages too

Chances are that they'ld be OK with you just omitting the space and the vowels. :P

I doubt it--but growing up in a half-Croatian household might have made me a little biased :\

I don't only bring books to a party, I also bring my sketchbook. It's much easier to concentrate on sketching than reading at a place full of people, thus also having a much more calming effect on me.

....... Czechia? not sure if any english-speakers with respect for themself would say that, but I'm starting to

("Haiz, don't you have work today? you know, for the first time in your life?")
"yeeeeeeees?"
"why are you... .......... sighs nevermind do what you want i won't question your life choices of going on a forum before anything else"
"I'M NERVOUS OKAY")
you'll know where to find me.

Can I just say I absolutely relate to everything in the above quote? Like, 100%? Especially that sketchbook.
