When will people understand that "Is he cute ?" isn't a good first question when you're saying you've done something (Naming this "something", not any doubt possible) with a male friend (Because in French you hear the gender in the sentence.) last weekend ? *Tired*

Surely the best first question would be, "Did you have a good time?" (unless you don't know what "something" is and then the best first question is, "What's that?")

*pats Mélu* All the sympathy for this. I've been asked inappropriate questions like this (and worse ones, like "when is the baby due" despite not being pregnant, or "why isn't there a ring on your finger?") and it's the worst.

This is the sort of thing I hear all the time at school~ but adults are supposed to know better! Right? Right?

That kind of behavior just blows me away! I would never ask questions like that in a million years.

It's like when random people think they have some kind of right to touch a pregnant woman, and either do so without asking or get offended when they ask and are told no. I mean, is the world full of poorly socialised psychopaths?

Saw a bunch of police cars on campus while I was walking to work and my honest first thought was to wonder whether it was our turn for a shooting yet. Somebody please get me out of this country.

*hugs* I spend way more time than I would like thinking about the possibility of someone coming into my workplace with a gun. Hasn't happened yet, and hopefully it never will, but I completely understand where you're coming from.

Sympathy! I've known a few people who were caught up in shootings, and it's an horrific experience. Long may you avoid the experience.
