Yay, happy Forumversary Viola!

So I have been sitting in my room watching this grey housecat somewhat lazily chasing a chipmunk all over my yard, obviously not really trying to catch it, then all of a sudden a mockingbird swoops down and starts mobbing the cat?? Like protecting the chipmunk almost, which is interesting because I've seen them do the same thing to my cat when he tried to eat a baby bird a few years ago, but I didn't think they'd do it for a non-avian. Also after my cat tried to eat the baby there would always be a mockingbird by him, sounding an alarm call for the entire spring. Not attacking, just doing the alarm thing, unless he went to a nest tHEN IT WAS TIME FOR A SMACKDOWN. And I'd watch them switch out on guard duty, it was really cool.

So basically what I'm sharing here is don't do the mockingbirds wrong, they will never forget.

This fabulous moment when you were sure to have bought a pattern and find only two skeins of wool... Time to explore Ravelry !

The only solution to that is to buy more yarn, surely. ;p

Lazy8, I know that one all too well! Happens to me when I'm very tired, stressed or in pain. My standby at such times is miso broth or fruit.

I have heard it claimed that when you feel hungry but can't think of anything to eat, what you actually need is water.

I don't know how true that is from a biological perspective, but it seems to work for me :)

I think it's a lingering side effect of last night's bout of nausea. I'm thinking I should maybe just try to find something plain to munch on.

Lightly salted crackers and a soda might be a good bet. Soda will get the gas out of you faster (by virtue of making you burp). Crackers are gentle on the stomach.
