I'm actually surprised it's that quick.  Hell, even Björk and Kate Bush didn't sell out that quickly!

I keep reading on the web that sometimes the tickets are late and some people got them after 10 or twenty minutes. But there must be a lot of people fighting for every ticket.

Oh my god thank you for saying this, I just got tickets!!!

King's Theater in Brooklyn (which is a *gorgeous* venue, BTW) seats 250 more than New York City Center and 200 more than Carnegie Hall, so at least one venue is larger ;)

(I saw Björk at City Center.  Amazing show and the first time I'd been there in years!)  Took me 45 minutes to get tickets for that one.

- our guide is a finnish archeologist and he is such a good guide. he speaks mostly in swedish  but with a finnish accent so it's more rhythmic and clear and, as i said, "the opposite of danish" which is maybe a thing i shouldn't say while sharing a table with the danish teacher

- for the first couple hours of our tour, we were followed by a dog. it had  a collar but no apparent owner, and we jokingly said it was our True Guide

- standing on the actual birthplace of western democracy is amazing and all, but do you know what else we saw that was amazing? A WILD TORTOISE. A REAL LIVE TORTOISE JUST DOING ITS THING

- i posted some photos  here while i was still able to
you'll know where to find me.

...So Sigur Rós announced a new tour date in Brooklyn, of course I was online right as the tickets went live and it said there were no tickets available. I think the universe is conspiring against me. (I call BS.)
Screw scalpers. Same thing happened to me last month.

Have you tried turpentine? (I think that's the right stuff for oils...)

Turpenoid is the stuff (a.k.a paint solvent or mineral spirits, I believe). Dish soap also works decently well with paint; although there is special paint soap for washing oil paint off brushes that I got when I was painting last year. (I can't remember the name of it though...)

Thank you! I'll have to try the dish wash soap though, I own no turpentine.

Using plain food oil like Sunflower or whatever you're got, before the dishwasher soap might help. Oil products dissolves in oil. Dishwasher afterwards, of course, since you don't want any kind of oil to stay in the brush.
