Ah politics.

Meanwhile, there's Australia, where as far as I can tell, the political situation is 'we hate everyone in office and everything that's happening.'

Though I'm not very good with politics.

Which is a shame, really, because running countries is precisely what you'd want likeable and level-headed people doing! (Besides, I personally wouldn't call government a waste of time, but that's neither here nor there)

That must be it. I think Australia has had like four different PM's in three years (may be wrong though) and people have pretty much ended up hating all of them. So yeah, pretty normal really.

Well yes, but waste of time or not, I don't think anyone goes into politics who isn't okay with cutting other people's throats.
