I'm glad you liked them so much, I've had a ball making them! It's good practice for my photo-shopping skills, which aren't exactly on-point. (・へ・) This queen is indeed generous in her strange bounty, my loving subject （＾ｖ＾）

Oh yeah, and having the reaction image hoard in your signature has been super useful! I've been using it to get a lot of the screenshots for these memes, so thanks for that! The hoard is truly a godsend, it's making my life so much easier! (Although I still do need to sift through A LOT of the comic's pages to find perfect shots that aren't in the hoard already. Oh well, you can't have everything  )

RANDOM SINGERS UNITE

It's not a generational thing.  An adorable elderly neighbor of mine (born ~1920) used to bust out with random snippets of song semi-associated with whatever we were discussing.  His wife would just roll her eyes; I'd join right in.

Three guys I was in the Army with had a game when we were in a waiting mode. They would have conversations using only snippets of songs that they SPOKE not sang. It is harder to remember the lyrics separate of the music and dissect them. They were masters at it. I listened to them have a 10 minute conversation about the fact that it had begun to rain using only song lyrics. It was totally amazing.

I'm truly sorry, I swear I tried to make something nicer. I experimented with many-many different versions (and had too much fun making the worst of them even worse - I hope those will never see daylight again), but I could make nothing Christmas-y with the original cover. (I guess I shouldn't post this one either... -__-)

I don't think you're alone with that hope.

Well, so far, he seems pretty much able to create his own opinions about the things he experiences, even if it's hasty and hard. But hey, try to take your time judging a situation, while strolling (sorry, sorry, sorry) in the wild. Lately, I think he can also reconsider who goes into which box.
Also, when he's with Tuuri, he doesn't hold back. (If he didn't crack a joke on page 189, I'm a flying oven-peel in a big, purple hat.)
And the map scene? That's some excellent memory there.
Not that I'd think that he's some genious or anything, but simplifying things (even behaviour) to the basics, and keeping preferences straight, as he seems to do, not necessarily means a lower intelligence.
I think, half of his "not-being-there-ness" comes from that he's always watching his surroundings, instead of socialising, even when he's supposedly in a safe area. (Even if half of *that* time, he could just look for a nice, cozy place to finally get some SLEEP. )

And I think I'm ranting about it on the wrong thread. What chapter break does to a person.... -__-
