As for the exhaust, I carefully avoided creating something that could remind it because, on Tuuri's context (being on an animal shape), anything "exhausting" her bottom at high speed could imply she was using a... let's say "exotic" kind of propulsion...  >:D

Well, she clearly is. There are little tufts of ?? (poot?) behind here in most panels where she’s flying. :)

I noticed that too, and had the same thought!  ;D   I just made myself a new bee-themed face mask, and as I was sewing it I noticed that all the bees had little dots behind them... presumably to indicate their flight path, but you know what I immediately thought of...  ;)

(I'm making lots of nice face masks with a third non-woven layer, that stand out and don't stick to your lips, on the assumption that our very cautious administration is going to require masks in classes and labs this fall. But also I'm hoping that by making all this effort, it will ensure that vaccinations are high enough that they'll cancel the mask mandate by then. Might happen - the province is talking about mid-August.)

Jitter, that´s my first thought too, like you and Vulpes, but then I realized that trail of light spots could be a kind of persistence on our "retinas" coming from Tuuri's brightness as she flaps her wings, also working a bit like as a path marker, as Vulpes mentions about drawing bees and other insects.
Actually IMHO any explanation is better than "Tuuri ejects small glowing bits of **** as she flies"! :D
