Hmmm, could our mods transfer the language-related threads in General Discussion to the Language Board? The Language Exchange Program and Learning Russian threads at least definitely belong there.

You do want to put all your eggs (software, content) into one basket (server) if your goal is to make an omelette (everything coming together into a web page) in the fastest and simplest way.

If you have contacts with the owner of http://satwcomic.com/ (Humon ?)
why not ask her if she can provide us with a copy of all her small flags ?
Eich can then place them in a folder on the same site as the forum and give us a link.

I will soon have more time avalaible, so I can help you a little, even if I think JoB has more knowledge on this issue.

I believe you can get the same flagset from here: http://www.famfamfam.com/lab/icons/flags/

Some BB systems I've seen have had flag shorthands where you can just type [flag]code[/flag] and it'll convert to appropriate flag. I did a quick search for an extension that would do this for simple machines forum used here. Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be one for it or atleast I couldn't find it if there is. I don't think it would be too hard to implement if you could modify the smileys replacement script (or even write a separate extension). Then again, it's not too hard to just use direct image links if and when those are uploaded to the server.

Edit: Apparently you could easily write package info xml file and just install the flags as smileys. If I remember correctly the downsides to that (i.e. flooding the write reply screen) have been discussed already.

I added some variants in English because there are so many English speaking countries.  "America" is the name of two continents.  The United States is a country, so I made it :usa:.

Thank you!~ Yes, it's Netherlands. I have no clue why the adjective is "Dutch" in English, it's one of those confusing things English does, heh. I'm also not at all sure why German is German in English, either. Word etymology, hmm.
