Stupid question: Is there a way to have a link on the forum page (pretty much like the link to the comic, top right), but only for your (logged in) self? I have certain places within this site *cough*wiki discussion*cough* I'ld like to be able to jump to directly ...

(Yes, OK, there's bookmarks in one's browser, but .......)

I know there are options for users to customize certain things: their profiles (obviously), the site theme, etc. But I don't think there's any way to customize links.

Dear Uncle Thor and Auntie Troll-Slayer:

Would you consider moving several messages from the "Translations and Readings" thread in the SSSS board to the Name Etymologies thread in the Language board?  Noako and Nimphy had already commented that the discussion was getting hijacked by speculations about characters' names and their cultural/religious background.

The sequence of messages I'd like to move starts with this very nice essay about the different ways "luck" translates in Finnish to Onni's and Tuuri's names.

I decided to finally make this thread.

I have gotten many requests in many boards to move this topic to there, merge this thread to that one, and I'm not always ready to do that at that moment - but when I'm ready, I have a hard time finding the request.

So, please, put them here! As the topic says, this is non-urgent, and preferably only for moderator/skald issues, not admin!

What a moderator can do:
* Lock/unlock topics
* Sticky topics
* Edit any calendar event
* Merge/split/rename topics
* Move/delete posts
* Ban/delete users


What a moderator can't do:
* (Anything technical)
* Add holidays to the calendar
* Add those little country flags (or any kind of imagery)
* Work with bugs/downtime/whatever
* Change the news up there


What a skald can do:
* Split threads into new topics (even non-contiguous posts)
* Name new threads resulting from thread-splitting
* Edit any calendar event
* Merge threads (which will be named/dated after the oldest post of both threads)
* Move threads to different boards.


What a skald can't do:
* Change or delete anyone's individual post
* Delete, lock, or unlock threads
* Sticky threads
* Add holidays to the calendar
* See or deal with anyone's PMs
* Ban/delete users
* Do major fixes -- the kind admins have dealt with. 

Let's see how this turns out!
