Oh, don't worry. I haven't used Word in a while, I mostly write my stuff in Google Drive so I don't lose anything.

Mostly introducing characters and such. I have less of a plot and more of a bunch of motivations & goals for each character...we'll see how this goes.

That's really weird, since I've copy/ pasted from Word before and nothing blew up. Granted, I actually haven't used word for a while.

I also have about 1000 words. I think I might actually have a story here! I was afraid it was just going to be "I did this" or "I did that" but it's not! - usually. I only just realized that I have no idea what a job interview should be like - which is a mandatory part of the plot - and solved the problem by "not" having an interview.

Me, 900 something words down, 49100 to go! I haven't even introduced the plot yet, and not going to do it anytime soon. Slow pace fan here, and probably writer of a looooong novel.

Done. Also Synopsis is written. Excerpt will follow and now my eyes demand a break from my computer :D good start that. But I have an Idea which is easy to follow. Would I find some of you under the same nicknames as here? I have to admit that I will use Nanowrimo as a daily training for my English grammar :D

Having the same problem. I guess there's too many enthusiastic writers all trying to do the same thing...
