I'll try to post this while I have internet

An illustration I did for my digital coloring class, with familiar subject matter ::)

Is this an okay place to ask for critique? I just started drawing after a 7-year break.

This sketch is missing some detail (such as lacing on the boots) and doesn't have any highlight or shading (other than those highlights on the armrests that are there to remind me what I'm planning to do) since I'll just do those once I start colouring. I don't normally post in-progress stuff, but since it'll take a few days before I'll have built a tracing desk, I figured I'd ask for advice now that I can still change things easily.

There is an art critique thread over here. It looks pretty good to me though, so I'll leave the nitpicking to someone else! :P (btw when resizing images, you only need to change one variable [w/h] not both. The forum automatically changes the other to match the ratio of the original image. :)))

Piney, that's so neat!  ;D I think you found a shading that really fits your style well!

Ahh thank you! I'd use this brush forever if it wasn't only available on photoshop -_-

Now for something completely different:

This was sitting on my desktop mostly-finished since mid-January, so I decided to finish it because I didn't feel like drawing anything specific, and why not. I KNOW I HAVEN'T DONE THE ART STYLE SWAP BUT I WILL SOON I SWEAR

It's another OC portrait if anyone remembers those. Guess which OC!
