start with a harder pencil then make the darker part with a softer pencil, I used a 2B and a 7B
always start with lighter parts then make slowly the darker parts darker

why it is soft? maybe because I never make the top too pointy, so looks soft but not detailed. for more details the sharpened one is better, but that is better to be used in the end.

but honestly, no idea, I just do it.

heyyy recently on tumble i did a self insert thing where you draw yourself and a favorite character from a fandom doing...something. so i drew myself and sela from prague race having a movie night!! (watching ponyo heh)

I'm currently reading a book series called Wings of Fire that is pretty good. It's about dragons and there are so many good dragons that of course i'm doing fanart, but seeing as i'm in the middle of some sort of art block/effort block, I'm only able to draw them as humans?? so YEAH I drew a whole lotta human versions and it's pretty much the only thing I've drawn lately. alas, life
