Have you heard their take on The Táin?

I have indeed!  (Although I don't currently own a copy - if I do, it's on vinyl somewhere in my ex-wife's basement, and I no longer have a turntable (or, indeed, any sort of physical media player).

On the subject of Hawkwind, I've seen them live, twice :)

I'm babysitting a young baby this weekend, and what came in my mind when I needed something to hum to him was "Olsen Olsen".

There's a guy on YouTube who makes songs based on videogames and films called Miracle of Sound. His latest one's about a game called The Division but, since it's about the survivors of a pandemic facing an uncertain future as winter rolls in, I think I've just found the perfect song for the SSSS prologue!

Letizia, for me, the canonical version will always have dinosaurs!

Interesting!

Well, I was listening to something completely different, so change of mood ahead. Igor Stravinsky's Rite of Spring. (I wasn't actually listening on youtube, and this video is only 1/3 of the ballet, but I like the costumes of this old version.)

This is possibly my favorite classical piece of all times, thanks for the video :)

urbicande > Disney version is very cool visually and introduced me to the piece, but it's far from being the best version in terms of interpretation and orchestration and such (not to mention it's not the complete piece, it removes a few bits and move others around).

A cover of the end credits of Earthbound, with added lyrics. Very Don Bluth-y.

Starting off today with Great Lake Swimmers - Catcher Song. I find their music so cozy... but maybe it's a bit too mellow for the early morning. u3u

Walk off the Earth - Boomerang

Arrrgh man, this one reminds me so much of a fic I've wanted to write about an on-again, off-again dysfunctional couple. It's been on my to-do list for ages, but I can't work on it yet. Great song, though.

Tank! by Yoko Kanno, aka the best James Bond theme never written.
Also, a very relaxing piece called Phendrana Drifts from the Metroid Prime soundtrack (on a 30 minute loop). Great music to do work to.

What about some sad guitar to get dressed to, eh?

Could fit SSSS with some imagination,.

Although it would probably fit better in slightly warmer apocalypses.
