That could totally be Hawkwind right there

I didn't think of them when I first heard it, but now you've pointed it out I can definitely see the resemblance.

Listening to Turn of the Cards by Renaissance, the first album that ever inspired me to write!

Considering this is like 40+ yrs old it still just gets right inside me. I've always wanted to see this live with the Boston Pops as the backing orchestra.

"Part of the world that you live in, You are the part that you're giving."

I was fortunate enough to see them live a couple of times back in the day (including one time where they played with both Steeleye Span and Fairport Convention both).

But today is a Jesca Hoop kind of day

Keep an eye on me. I shimmer on horizons.

Sigur Rós in festival in June, then maybe (= of course) in Paris in August too, and now Ólafur Arnalds announcing a concert with Nils Frahm inside the Louvre during one night ? :D Did all my favorite artists decided today had to end better than how it began ?

BABYMETAL - KARATE
I heard about Babymetal a while ago and checked out some of their music but I wasn't really into it. The only song I liked was Gimme chocolate!! and that one is just okay.
This song from their next album however I actually like a lot. I hope the rest of the album will be as good.

Appropriate for both the band name, and that our own OwlsG0 is named after one of their songs. Here's some Architecture in Helsinki

Haven't got near this thread for a month or more, alas! Yuuago, didn't know Great Big Sea had covered 'Le Bon Vin'. The link didn't work, because Australia, but a friend here managed to track it down for me. Reminds me much of a mediaeval French drinking song that my cousin and Iused to sing: 'Chevaliers de la Table Ronde', which is one of those songs in which two singers play against one another, getting faster and faster until everyone falls over. Fun.

Good to see someone else has heard of Hawkwind! Anyone remember the old 'Empire' magazine?

Anyone else like the music of Horslips?

I've owned 3 LP copies of "The Book of Invasions" (currently have it on my phone in digital form).

Does that count?
