I dunno, maybe we could make the SSSS Symphony Orchestra or something like that

Some people are working on a musical over in the main SSSS board...

ORCHESTRA! I SAID ORCHESTRA! No offense, but I don't much like musicals.

I found this thing: The Infinite Jukebox

Basically, it breaks a song down into beats, and as it plays through each beat there's a chance that it'll jump to another beat of the song the sounds very similar, theoretically giving you an infinite, ever-changing version of the song of your choice. Of course, it works better with some songs than others...

Ok. Music I'm listening to.
Well, I resumed to work myself through Yoko Kanno's works. I currently listen to her Brain Powerd OSTs a lot.
Waver is my favourite piece out of that.

Yes!  Yoko is awesome.  My favorite of her pieces is Didn't it rain.  It brings back a strong memory from when I was younger that, coincidentally, took place after a light rain.
Feel free to PM.

Ah, yeah, those were the days, my friend...

Anyway, I also like her Gabriela Robin and Ilaria Graziano songs a lot.
My all-time favourite though is Strangers from the first Wolf's Rain OST.

Go and search up The Dark Knight Rises main theme. I have no idea why, but it makes everything, and I mean everything sound badass. Including an argument my friends were having over the merits of a turkey sandwich.
"The mayonnaise on this sandwich is spread unevenly!" Dun-Dun Dun-Dun Dun-Dun

Eich and Clayres... thanks, you guys<3 I am now binge-listening to Yoko Kanno, haha... I've actually listened to her music before, but never realized it was all by the same composer. So beautiful~

I'm just about nerdy enough to get goosebumps from Baba Yetu. Who said video game music is dime a dozen.

Mwhahahaha, so here it is... the first K-pop addition to the music thread. This one is pretty popular all over already, but I like it so much it's worth sharing. Eyes, Nose, Lips by Taeyang (people may know him from BIGBANG).

Good song for unwinding and letting out that stress.  I like the guy's voice.

I'm just amazed that they were able to get this sound out of a cello.

Wow!  I'm also amazed, though I have to wonder if 2Cellos double-tracked the recording at some point (about 2/3 through, where the obbligato continues while both players are doing solo things).  Quite literally, they shred.  (Check out the state of the cello bows by the end.)

I've never even heard of the original song "Thunderstruck" (and I probably wouldn't like it if I did), but this version is fabulous.  I would happily listen to nearly anything played on the cello.

Plus, the video is hilarious, especially the floor-solo-part.
"The music of what happens," said great Fionn, "that is the finest music in the world."

Ok, though Yoko Kanno's been mentioned, I just have to link this one: Cowboy Bepop's full soundtrack. Listened to the full thing twice already, and can't stop, it's so good<3
