Perhaps the best song ever penned about the loneliness of the long distance traveler

My friend was playing this on the piano earlier, so I looked up the song and I love it now
(to be honest, I sorta prefer my friend's cover, it has a lot more sass  :'D)
If I'm both pan and genderfluid, then no matter who I like, it's gay and I think that's beautiful

Here's the lyrics (translated into English):
Spoiler: show
WHO BECOMES THE MEAT –

Longcoats are marching
Mud & blood merging
Civil War's raging
Across the land..

In the war for--

--Sunrise has risen
Draped in red ribbons
who gets to eat?
& who becomes?..

Who becomes the meat?

Summer has gone and the
Fires begin burning so
What's yours is mine is now
Food for the beasts

Fight for me
Die as meat
Burn & bleed for our cause

Victors shall be known throughout our history

Longcoats are marching
Mud & blood merging
Civil War's raging
Across the land..

In the war for

Sunrise has risen
Draped in red ribbons
who gets to eat?
& who becomes?..

Who becomes the meat?

Well, this song almost had me crying from nostalgia for aRTD, I blame yuuago's aRTD fan soundtrack which this song was part of.

I think its due time for a seasonal re-read of aRTD. and some autumn-themed fanart.

I'm not sure if I posted this here already, but I recently re-discovered it and I love it too much to not post it! It's just too cute! :3

RIP Tom Petty

With all the confusion and varying reports I was hoping he'd turn out to be OK :'(

I know I already shared a bunch of Midlake songs in this thread, but dammit this song's been playing my head too many times to not bring it up to others.

My Friend in the Cage by Kim Kwang-Suk

I'm not sure I like the retro jazzy intro to this song as much as the rest of it, if retro and jazzy isn't your thing skip to about 30 seconds in.

Anyway, my co-worker was listening to this guy, Kim Kwang-Suk, the other day while giving me a ride to work. I could barely understand the words but something about this song, idk I just, got it? It felt raw and painful but almost euphoric to listen to, like even not understanding most of the lyrics something about how the song felt just was fundamentally relatable for me. It was kinda like what the song Killing Me Softly is about, you know?

Anyway according to my co-worker this singer, Kim Kwang-Suk is also an important figure culturally in recently history for South Korea. He's a folk / rock singer who was pretty popular with young people in Korea in the 90's, which is why some people compare him to Kurt Cobain.

So I recently found out about Ghost Quartet, a really cool musical.
If you're a fan of folk tales and non-linear storytelling you should definitely check it out!
