These two pictures differ a bit from Nordic Council logo, so I can make a tutorial on them. They are less difficult to made, than Nordic Council logo.

Olga: These are incredibly beautiful! Would you consider making a tutorial on how these were created? I'm sure I'm not the only one who would be fascinated to see the process.

Yes, I saw and admired the previous tutorial. These look as if made a little differently? I know the basic work is likely similar, but some of the methods of the inlay look different?

As for tutorial: these two glasses are less difficult than Nordic Council logo, and the swan was almost completely made using contours. So yes, they are differ a bit from Nordic Council logo. I can make the tutorial, no problem, but a bit later.

I made SSSS-themed cookies once. Now that I've noticed this thread I regret not taking pictures. :'(

So, I followed Ana's tutorial on papercutting, and made this Lalli.



It was my first papercut ever, as you can see by the horrible cuts on his hair. D:
But I like the overall result. Now I'm really excited, which means more papercuts on the way, I believe.

I was thinking about making profile papercuts of all the crew. Then, after that, I might do some aRTD papercuts as well.

I can't do any papercutting right now, because apparently x-acto knives count as weapons (who would've thought?) and I'm not allowed to keep any in my room. Ah well, I'll have to wait until I go home for Thanksgiving. Until then, I live vicariously through your work!

Auleliel: Sympathy! Electric sewing machines are the worst. I could just manage my Gran's old pedal-driven Singer machine, if I worked very carefully and slowly, but I haven't seen one of those for decades.

Martti: I forgot to mention also sailmakers' needles and the leather palm they use - very good for such work.

The old foot pedal sewing machines are still out there. There is a company here in the States that caters to the Amish (who immigrated to the U.S. in the 1800's and don't believe in using electricity or being fancy/vain) that you can buy them from new. I have my great-grandmother's foot pedal Singer that I just found the maintenance instructions online in a PDF.

Considering that I occasionally drink f.ex. wine from small soup bowls, empty jam jars or straight from the bottle (I REALLY hate doing the dishes, if I'm planning on relaxing the dishes will have to wait) I say just get one anyway. For any drink at all, chocolate milk, orange juice, anything. Or you know... for soup... or cereal... Ok Laufey time to shut up before all the embarrassing secrets come out...
