well, dang, I didn't actually expect it to happen today - I guess the general discussion thread worked its magic hahahah

Now now young'un, ain't polite to gloat 

Also there are no proper baking materials in this house other than those weird do-it-yourself packets. There go any ideas of making some proper, delicious, edible home-made muffins... or chocolate cake... and it is raining and cold outside, I do not want to go collect ingredients.

If you have a coffee mug you can make chocolate cake. You can even do it in the microwave, just, uh, make sure the mug isn't made of metal. Not that anyone would ever put a metal mug in a microwave ... seriously, who does that ...

I still ate the incinerated remains tho...

Oh, are we telling microwave stories?? I microwaved a pizza slice for five whole minutes once. That was... something. I also microwaved a potato with the tin foil still on it and the mark on the microwave hasn't come off yet >_>

Another microwave story: I stuck a CD in the microwave once. The result was... interesting.

Not exactly, it was an ornamental memorial mug from the Norwegian Armed Forces. My dad has dozens of them. They just so happen to have some kind of gilding on the inside which promptly transformed the prospective cake into a golden volcano of sparks and fire.

Last time I microwaved a muffin it caught fire. Should have removed the wrapping, brain malfunctioned temporarily.

My excuse is that I was like 12 and nobody had told me that you're not supposed to put metal in the mirowave. '3'

My excuse is I was, like, 18 or something and I was told nothing about these things. I am blameless. Blameless like a saint.

Meanwhile I don't even have good microwave stories because one of the first things I was told was to not put metal in and secondly not put an egg in. But I can make things explode in a normal oven I guess? Baked potatoes, cakes and once a chicken... ok the cleaning up of that last one is a mildly traumatic memory...

Someone in one of the other university residences set a fire in the first week of classes because they tried to make mac n cheese in the microwave without putting water in.

And apparently at Ana Nymus's school someone microwaved a sweater because no one told them that microwave =/= clothes dryer.

Every time my uncle visits he blows something up or lights something on fire trying to cook food for us. One time it was a dish rag that caught fire. One time he microwaved an egg and it blew up. Another time he left a plastic spoon in the pot and it melted into the food.
