A: from about 2am-7am, with the 'maximum eclipse' at 4am..........

Most of the forumites should be able to see at least some of it! Those on the east coast of North America, pretty much all of Central/South America and in the western parts of Europe and Africa should be able to see the entire duration of the eclipse, and most other places will be able to see parts of it. Unfortunately, it'll be daytime for all of you in Asia and Australia, so you won't be able to see it :(

Map and times of the eclipse

I'm excited :))
Thanks for the link!  The countdown timer at the bottom is really neat. :)

Dem'it, I should really be in bed by then, I have to get up at 6 am and I need to be awake and alert. Why couldn't the eclipse have been in the weekend, stupid solar system and its messed up schedules.

Hm. Like Fimby, I should probably be in bed at that time. But I might very well be called out to work (yup, sleeping in my office tonight as it is a bit too much hassle to go home) and will do my best to put my head out the window if that happens. The moon looks big, round and not the least bit eclipsed ATM, but still very pretty.

It's gonna be visible at 7 here, assuming that a) it's dark enough out and b) there aren't too many clouds. \o/
(it'll be a nerd magnet. Space enthusiasts everywhere will be pulled from their homes to stand in the street, staring in awe at the lack of moon)

I fondly remember my first lunar eclipse; I was about 10, we were living in Hawaii, and my dad woke me up about 2 am to see it.

I'm looking forward to this one too. Curiously (and maybe sadly) one related local news story is: "Mormon Church Sends Out Memo to Members:  Blood Moon Is NOT the End Times."
"The music of what happens," said great Fionn, "that is the finest music in the world."

I remember mine, as well. We were coming back from a fair a few years ago and we were in the car. I pointed at the moon and said it was orange, and nobody actually knew what it meant or what it was.

Same here! (I was going by what I heard on the news, not what the site says. But yes, after checking the site, it does begin at 8 here as well)

*Sighs* 4am, why ?

I feel ya - it'll be 1-2am for me, so if I am awake I probably won't be up to sitting outside and staring at the sky for extended periods :/
its also cloudy tonight, but that's to be expected
