There seems to be a "gutter" between the "desk" and the vertical marble surface, and that in turn seems to be recessed behind the plane of the mirrors. I take it that there are motion sensors above to start water (and soap?) streaming straight down and into the "gutter"? Or did they go crazy to the point of making the water flow
along the marble surface (so that you have to press your hands against it from all sides to get them wet all around)?
Hotels generally
like to be avantgarde with their interior architecture and there certainly is
some crazy
design happening to taps and sinks lately, but I don't think that the apparent trend of trying to make all visible surfaces
perfectly flat and either horizontal or vertical (so that water splashed around will just sit there, instead of running off) is going to stay for long.
