Not cruel! My uncle does that, with wasps. I've tried once and it worked! BUT it is really scary and although I know if you hit them hard enough you probably wont get stung, I haven't done it again.

And RTR, you're here again, I've missed your posts! Good to hear you're happy in your work and that what ailed you is easily treatable :D

I can also confirm that the clarion hotel where we're holding the con at is wayyy fancier than the one in prague. LOOK AT THIS:

THESE ARE THE SINKS IN THE BATHROOM
CAN YOU SEE THE SINKS BECAUSE I SURE CAN'T

also shedding a tear for gender split bathrooms again. the hotel last year had beautiful intersex bathrooms it was great

and honestly also shedding a tear of joy for how far torucon has come. It's its fifth year and I was there, the first year with 300 guests and everything was wonky and only half the guests were in cosplay and there space was small... the evolution of this con has been amazing.

someone had also bought a whole box full of chupa-chups... i've eaten a lot of lollipops and coupled with singing/dancing along to disney songs on speakers, and getting generally very excited about stands and treasure hunts and contests,, MY BRAIN IS VERY CAPS LOCK RIGHT NOW IDK HOW I'M GONNA GO TO SLEEP EVEN IF I'M TIRED

My only suggestion for those sinks is there's a hidden button somewhere you have to press and they all slide up out of hatches in the granite...

Looks like marble. There's a lot of that in the Trondheim area.
