Can we interpret this as an open in invitation to come have a party at your house?

Machetes and Toblerone for everyone!  (Sunflower is bringing along a big first-aid kit, just in case.)

I think that's funny. When I meet people from the tropics I kinda want to bring them somewhere bitingly cold, like Hedmark or Northern Norway, just to see how they cope.

By piling on blankets and hot water bottles, curling up in a ball and hibernating out the winter.

Go ahead. I'll go any where cold right now.

My house is not quite bitingly cold enough to make a lasting impression I'm afraid - in fact my window is wide-open right now.

Machetes and Toblerone for everyone!  (Sunflower is bringing along a big first-aid kit, just in case.)

It just so happens that I can provide both! Not sure about the first-aid kit.

Great! We'll be there in half an hour. Nevermind about the weather. You can just put the AC on -10 and no one will know the difference.

How else are we all going to maintain our own individual indoor hockey rinks year round?

Oh, how I wish for an AC right now... *joins the weather-discussion*
I need a new phone, my old reliable Nokia 6650 takes the current heat badly and turns randomly off...(poor baby, I would let you sleep in the fridge if I could hear you from in there...)

Well the heat here in England is bearable - today at least - but it seems to have prompted all the trees, grasses and other traitorous plants to have one last pollen splurge. My face now feels like I've been snorting rock salt... >:(

This is evidence against a loving deity, I feel: I am currently having an allergic reaction to the air.

In case tribal-rock musical numbers make you feel better, a song for a Science Guy:  "The Air" from Hair

(Oh, and congrats on making Scout.  Celebrations are ongoing over on the Promotions thread...)

Welcome, sulfur dioxide
Hello, carbon monoxide
The air, the air
Is everywhere

Breathe deep
While you sleep,
Breathe deep

Bless you, alcohol blood stream
Save me, nicotine lung steam
Incense, incense
Is in the air

Breathe deep
While you sleep,
Breathe deep

Cataclysmic ectoplasm
Fallout atomic orgasm
Vapor and fume
At the stone of my tomb

Breathing like a sullen perfume
Eating at the stone of my tomb

I'm looking rather attractive
Now that I'm radioactive
Just watch me spark
I glow in the dark

I hate how trees and plants just think they can invade my sinuses like that.

I am sorry to hear about this and hope that you are feeling better soon (if I had power over the weather I would send us all a shower of rain...)

Heh, I was singing this song in our musical-production in 13th grade! I had almost forgotten it.
