The last stretch of cosplay-making is on and I'm digging out all my favourite music to power through it. Hekla by Jón Leifs is one of my favourite classical pieces ever for the following reasons:

Percussionists needed: 19.

Percussion instruments, aside of the normal ones:

- wooden mallets + tree stumps
- anvils
- hammers
- corrugated iron sheets
- tuned rocks (= rocks in different sizes)
- sirens
- huge bells
- ship chains
- a shotgun
- a cannon or several
- most likely many more

Both of my parents + my little brother are in czech now! I just met them for a little while, it was nice. My dad came with some words of wisdom:

As for me, I'm already in Rome and even if it's my first day, I'm lost and I can't understand anything. Oh well xD And I'm doing some little sketches of the new look of my 'sona in a little paper //shrugs

Wow, this is amazing!  It really *is* a volcanic eruption in musical form.  I'd never heard of the composer Jón Leifs before, but the links I saw in YouTube show that he was really inspired by Iceland's geography and history. 

Would you mind copying this post into the Music Thread?  People there should have a chance to find out about Jón Leifs.

So I'm back!
In other news, I saw someone the other day who looked a LOT like Haiz. She (I assume, she was wearing a name-tag that said "Charlotte") had bobbed blonde hair with blue/green/purple streaks and oblong glasses. And also her face was ... haizy? idk
