My brother just offered to sell me his old phone (which has a cracked screen). I do need a phone, and I can get it from him much cheaper than at any store, but then I'd have to pay for service, which is $45 a month. (Which is a little less than about seven hours' wages at min. wage) I recently left my temp job, and will be looking at college housing fees and tuition costs at the end of the summer.
Is it really worth it?
I have no idea of U.S. cell phones and the services associated, but I'ld guess that if I had, the answer would still be "insufficient data".

(As in, how many centuries have passed since that phone was made, how much does your usage extend beyond what's already included in those $45, ...)

...yes, one of the lamps is plugged into the other, why do you ask
I'll start being impressed when both lamps are plugged into each other. :P

I love potatoes! I ate mashed potatoes with chopsticks last night for dinner because all the other options were fish.

ahahhaa funny you should mention that, it's amazing how many new dishes I'm trying for lunch because I always steer away from the fish options.

Chopsticks are surprisingly versatile. I've eaten yogurt with them (though it was thick-ish yogurt, not like the kind you get at Trader Joe's that's practically milk).

Simple -- you use the sieve to get all the chunks, holding it over a cup, and then drink the broth! *nodnod*

You... are able to do that?

If it's chunky/sticky enough it should be pretty easy.

ahahhaa funny you should mention that, it's amazing how many new dishes I'm trying for lunch because I always steer away from the fish options.

What's this, a Norwegian who doesn't like fish?

You figure it out pretty quickly. They don't exactly have forks everywhere here, so it's either figure it out, or starve (or eat the bite sized fish but I don't eat fish).

Next up, Violas eats soup out of a sieve.

I've learned there are a lot of things I could eat with chopsticks that I didn't know were possible to eat with chopsticks before this trip (chicken wings and soup among others) You just eat the noodles/pieces of pork/random veggies with chopsticks and then drink it. Bam.
