I mean, the trailers said wAY MORE EXPLOSIONS so I feel kinda betrayed, and some scenes are squicky, but still worth it.

Squicky in what way?
I've heard a lot of good things about Fury Road, but I'm a bit hesitant because there seems to be a high probability of frequent, loud explosion noises.

That would work, thanks! Also, hmm, kill as in dangerous creature sort of kill or as in people with guns and bombs that make loud noises?

It's probably the best action film I've ever seen. Takes itself quite seriously (and convinces you to do the same, no mean feat in my book) but still tremendously entertaining. The characters are cool and memorable, the special effects deserve to win every award under the sun, and it's all paced perfectly. I'm trying to think of a single complaint I have about this film, just so I don't sound like a drooling fanboy, but I'm having genuine difficulty doing so!
Some of the background worldbuilding can get a bit confusing. There, that's all I can think of.

Now of course you may not like it quite as much as I did - each to their own and all that - but I'd heartily recommend you at least give it a go.

Being a complete movie cynic I was caught completely off-guard by Fury Road's quality. Definitely in my top three movies of all time for sure!

Ooh, okay, now I'm really pumped to watch Fury Road.
Except maybe I'll bring earplugs for the shooting scenes, I can't take loud noises in the cinema. Blaring soundtracks during movies like Inception are the worst, even though I appreciate them a lot at a softer volume.

Is it still even in cinemas? If not, get it on DVD I guess - volume will be much easier to control then!

I have some questions for those of you who have tumblrs:

What exactly does one use one's tumblr for? How does it work?
I do have a different blog not on tumblr that I made this year, but it's mostly just random travel stuff that I do and some photos of places I'm visiting and art stuff. Is that the kind of thing one puts on tumblr?
Is having a tumblr worth it?

Also completely unrelated to tumblr, but is getting a facebook worth it?

You don't have to tell me whether I should join either of these sites, I am mostly just curious to hear some different opinions and experiences on them so I can make better decisions.
(Don't mind me, I am just really bad at social media internet stuff)
