Cool! I've seen videos of that, but never actually in person.

If you have crystal wine glasses at home, you can try it. I've done it a few times in the past with my parent's fancy set (shhhhhhh)

There's an instrument called a glass armonica which is basically a bunch of glasses stacked on top of one another and rotating so you can play it. It sounds really cool!

Yeah, I think you're on your own. Sorry.

Unless "really cold" translates into your non-heated water being ice, the dishes should be OK. Modern detergents are amazing like that (first-hand experience from camping holidays).

Set up some water to heat, then start doing the dishes ("almost clean, anyway" stuff first) with cold water. Use hot water to warm up yourself or wash the dirtier dishes, whatever is more urgent, once it's hot.

Thanks for the help... I ended up washing the dishes with cold water anyway. I could barely feel my fingers when I finished, but hey, like JoB said, at least the water was still in a liquid state.

And I really like these street musicians! Some of them are truly gifted, I used to stop to hear them once in a while when I was going to work.

It's so inspiring because they're so good, and it's pretty depressing too because listen to how good this guy is and he's still homeless.
(Maybe it's different in other places, but in Austin if he's playing on the street and it's not a festival, he's homeless.)
... Texas ... is a mystique closely approximating a religion. And this is true to the extent that people either passionately love Texas or passionately hate it....

I know in Europe there are a lot of street performers and that's what they do every day as their job. While some might be, not all of them are homeless, they just set up in squares and perform and put on shows, especially where there are a lot of tourists. In North America though, unfortunately, it usually is exactly as you said it. It makes me really sad.

Round here a lot of the buskers tend to be college students (for those in America that means 16-18 not 18+) who have time to spare, and few of the others seem to be homeless.  Sure there are a fair few homeless around, but they kinda just sit there rather than doing anything.

I think most of the street musicians here in my city are very poor, but I don't think they are all homeless. At least they don't look like it. There is even a country band that sells their CD's on the street, and they appeared on tv once, playing in one of these morning news programs.

BABY DEER! <3<3<3<3

Once, my brother and I were playing frisbee in our backyard, and there was a baby deer lying up in the brush near a tree not 10 meters from where we were. We didn't even notice it until our frisbee fell near the tree and my brother ran over to pick it up, startling the deer. It ran away. Then we ran away because we didn't want to be around when mama deer came to find out who had scared her baby  :o
