Yeah, I'm scared of spiders something fierce. And heights too! And I have no idea how to combat them. (the fears, that is, not spiders and heights. You combat spiders with napalm strikes, everyone knows that)

Yeah! Even if I live in a 5th I'm still scared to look down XD (and that is of course logic ptff-)

You can combat heights with napalm too, if you try hard enough.

have I... entered into some weird zoo or something........

I'm back from the theatre play it was, uh, kind of interesting? it wasn't at a super fancy theatre or anything, and 1) the comedy wasn't exactly my cup of tea, and 2) there was a lot I missed out on thanks to not knowing czech culture enough, like, I don't get the connotations of dialects and I didn't know it was some sort of parody on a well-known movie and yeah THAT KIND OF THING. But my aunt explained the things to me, and the story got kinda good towards the end? ahwell, tickets were free, I'll take it.

My aunt also took a look at the stove, because she knows how it's supposed to work, and could confirm that it does indeed not work. So I didn't do anything wrong after all!

Yes you are, welcome to the Strangest Zoo in the world! No need to pay, it's free! (?)

And you come from the theatre, huh? I already miss one! Too bad I didn't go to theaters since a lot of time...
Also, see? The stove was broken at first time. We can see what happens even if we are not there

So random topic change, but I was going through my music and trying to decide what I wanted to work on over the summer, and I found this gorgeous contemporary viola sonata (is a music nerd) and I now have the sheet music for it. The first page looks totally innocent and doable, nice moderate tempo, slurred notes, some shifting, but nothing too bad:

Then I opened the booklet:

And turned the page:

And now I'm thinking this might be an all year project rather than just a summer project...

Btw, youtube link to the first movement of the piece, it's quite beautiful if you like contemporary classical

Is it dinner the main meal in Norway then? Now I'm curious about the eating habits in different countries. Which is the main meal? How many times you eat hot meal?
In the US, you usually eat a smallish breakfast (hot [e.g. toast] or cold [e.g. granola]) before going to work/school, and then a medium-sized lunch at noon (which could be a cold sandwich, or reheated left-overs if you have a microwave handy), and then a largish dinner/supper between 5 and 8 (my family eats at 6-6:30), which is usually hot.
I'll do art-swaps and beta-reads, PM me!

I munch all day if I can. I'm a grazing eater, I eat a little bit at a time, but I eat all the time.

Feartheviolas: the piece looks great but surely is a piece of work, Shostakovitch (huh, that looks weird, I would have written him Schostakowitsch) nearly always is.
On the topic of meals: In my family we eat a small breakfast, normally cereals, the main meal of the day is the midday-meal, then normally I am cooking for me and the kids and in the evening we eat sandwiches and cold vegetables, sometimes salad.
