@ Laufey

It's like Greenland but worse.

Iqaluit. Territorial capital. About 6000 people. Land of my youth.

Yellow building at the back is the airport. Weird white building with red roof is Nakasuk School. The beige building in the middle is the Frobisher Inn. Kind of a hub building that includes the cinema, the swimming pool, and some boutiques. Blue buildings behind that is the Inuksuk high school.

Please. That's summer temperatures.

Yeah, I think I'm most comfortable at around 50 degrees(10 Celsius), and where I used to live was perfect! Vermont, home of beautiful weather and snow

Ah, I'm jealous! Florida doesn't really have seasons, just... hot and humid, and hot and slightly less humid. Maybe if you're lucky there will be one or two freezes in the winter but most people hate them (bad for agriculture, not fun to swim during, the usual) but there isn't really a spring or fall :P

That strangely looks like someone just left a group of houses in the middle of nothingness... I might have to put this place on my list of places to visit, it looks quite interesting!

Oooh is this in Stöng? It looks like Þjóðveldisbærinn!

SolarPoweredGirl: Also ew to so many inch worms. They're cute if it's just one or two but an infestation is awful and they do create this weird sound too... so that's what it is, they're pooping. Ew.

@ Laufey

That is an apt description.

There is literally nothing else for hundreds of kilometers. The only way in or out is by plane. And the odd ship that comes during summer.

You want to talk about a lack of seasons try living in Britain.  The joke here is that summer is our favourite week of the year.

Ho ho really? My memories of summer time in England involves a large amount of being roasted alive. No joke, late May/early June was awful.

I'm going to echo this and add that the carpet floors make the houses there seriously badly suited for less heat-resistant people...

Kentucky isn't much for seasons too. We have rain, sunny but raining, sunny going to rain, cloudy, and snow/hail. And I'm lucky to have seasonal allergies so every time the weather changes I can't breathe. So eh? I have no clue how I haven't smothered to death in my sleep. I've woken in panic cause I couldn't breathe. . . silly weather seems to want to kill me.

That might have contributed a bit. As I recall I had dark grey floor carpets...

Come to think of it, what is the purpose of all the floor carpets? I've even seen a bathroom with them! Actually, on that topic, why do Russians put carpets on their walls?

And why am I using carpets as an excuse to procrastinate?

I guess for insulation purposes, although there's never going to be good enough a reason for putting them in bathrooms. Another one are the cold + hot water taps on separate sides of the sink, there's just no excuse for that.
