There are days when I wish they would just pick a policy and stick with it. I'm overdue by a month to start the new job because they keep changing the rules on me. :(

I know, right? I've been stuck waiting for a shift for almost 2 full weeks at my job. I need the income dang it!
I saw the future.

I have started my job but I don't do very much because the work computers have decided that I don't exist and not even IT can figure out why they won't recognize my permissions :P

Nuuuuuuu. It's too early in the morning for an existential crisis (she says at 10am)

If you determine that you don't exist early in the morning then you don't have to worry about the rest of the day.

Went to a friend's wedding on the weekend. He ended up so paralytically drunk that his wife went off to the hotel on her own while we had to physically carry him to the best man's car (after he passed out on the lawn) and dump him on a couch at his parents' place to sleep it off  O_o

They've been together for years so it's not likely to break them up, but it was certainly an interesting night.

I thought I had found a nice and practical small bottle for making gløgg (a hot drink that can be taken as lemonade or mixed with red wine to make a mulled wine, and I wanted the small bottle because I don't drink that much of it but it is nice and christmassy), and it turns out that small bottle was instead spices meant for making 15-20 liters of your own beer. Not quite the same. I hope I can take it back to the store because home-made-beer is not going to happen this decade.

RIP astronaut and former US senator John Glenn

Damnit! :(

We're quite fond of John Glenn here in Perth. On his first space flight in 1962 he passed over the city and everyone left their lights on for him, and then we did it again for his shuttle flight in 1998. We're nicknamed "The City of Light" as a result, although it's debatable if anyone except us ever uses it.

I've heard Perth so referred to. That was a lovely idea! Glenn would have been ninety, I guess. He will be missed, as an astronaut, as an historical figure, and as a courageous and gentle man. Hail and farewell John Glenn!

Moana is better than Frozen.

Everything is better than Frozen. Yesterday I watched my dog eat a cricket and that was more engaging than Frozen.

Still it sucks that we can't see it down here (in Australia) until Boxing Day. I'm going to make my family take me to it. My dad hasn't seen a Disney since 'The Princess and the Frog' had him weeping into my jacket, so he'll be a tough sell. I remain optimistic about my persuasion abilities, however.
