Yeah, I think people let go and relax on holidays, and those who die tend to be the ones clinging to the edge of life who just let go.

If I were you, I'd take the cat to the vet ER - if it's something like renal failure, feline sudden onset diabetes or even some kind of poisoning, time can be important. Luck!

Yeah, we've decided to go ahead and take him to the ER. I just have an inability to fully trust any medical professional I haven't known since the beginning of time. So now I have to wait until my mother gets home so that we can go. :/

Well it looks like it's about to get worse for me. My cat suddenly got sick for the first time ever. He has been extremely lethargic, vomited foam twice, not eating, and drinking an excessive amount of water. From what I can tell it sounds like chronic renal failure. Now I'm deliberating with my mother whether to take him to the vet ER since the normal office isn't open today, or to wait until tomorrow. I'm a little afraid of what they'd do at the place we've never been, but I also don't want to wait until tomorrow.

On top of all that literally everyone I've ever known who has died did so on a holiday. Guess what's coming up soon?

Good thoughts for your cat!

Another day in America, another attack on the university campus. At least none of the victims died this time.

Great. Because that's what this year needed.

Cat update: I didn't get to take him to the ER because my parents changed their minds at the last minute, so we took him to the vet today instead. He has pancreatitis but they kept him all day and gave him fluids and some meds and he's looking much better now. He should be okay in a few days.

And I'm super happy because I managed to get her right before the 5.15 update, which means I'll have her when she gets demoted to tier 6 and her tier 7 replacement, the Akatsuki.

It's been 135 days without measureable rain here, but today the heavens have opened and while that's a good thing, there's been a ton of tornado warnings and watches and awful lightning and I'm not used to it anymore. Storms like this used to happen every other week, but now it's weird and alien. O_O

*patpats Jhev* Storms like that are scary, aren't they? We have that sort of weather here and the contrast can be really unnerving. Good luck!

I loved that movie so much. The opening scene destroyed me, the first contact scene made my jaw hurt from hanging open, and the soundtrack wounded me emotionally in ways I did not know I could be wounded.
I saw the future.

There are days when I wonder why it's against company policy to drink at work.

There are days when I wish they would just pick a policy and stick with it. I'm overdue by a month to start the new job because they keep changing the rules on me. :(
