Well, you might very well think that, but I couldn't possibly comment.

*awkwardly fist bumps your awkward high five*

it's also worth mentioning that it's kind of your fault that the next chapter is going to be Sigrun / Agneta after you brought that up in the shipping thread

Eurgh. They can be found around here too and they freak me out. I have too much unwanted fauna in my flat lately anyway :/

One time I spent a summer living in my cousin's attic and there were hella centipedes all the time. They were the reason I'd let the spiders stay around because I hoped the spiders would either eat the centipedes or eat their food source forcing the centipedes to move on or go away in search of more food. Anyway it happened a few times that I would see a centipede, go get my boot or bug spray to take care of it, but then not be able to find it again so I'd actually end up sleeping on their couch downstairs, and by extension end up being woken up by their kids at like 6 in the morning when they got up =/

Which ones do you call 'house centipedes', where you are? The little silver-grey feathery looking ones, or the big armoured red-brown smooth ones? I just make sure to shake out my boots before I put them on, if I'm sleeping anywhere with centipedes.

The creature I'm talking about is Scutigera coleoptrata - or others in the same family.

Juniper, keeping spiders will increase the population of house centipedes, since they feed on spiders and other arthropods...

Helia, I know that one, we have it here too. There are some in my garden. Generally they don't bite/sting humans, and if they do it's usually no worse than a bee or wasp sting, unless a person is allergic. They eat spiders as well as insects and arachnids in general, but I have also seen them being eaten by bigger spiders such as mouse spiders and trapdoors. They and geckos will also eat one another, depending on relative size. They can't pierce the skin of an adult gecko, but baby geckos are very thin-skinned and tender, you can just about see through them. And of course centipedes will eat each other, especially if there is a major size difference.

That would be the one for me as well. Though I have had the armored kind of centipede crawl on my foot and sting me, so I'm not a fan of those either and if seen they will produce the same reaction.

Around times like these I feel it's important to remember that the overwhelming majority of people just want to live their lives in peace.
