Because a friend talked about being or not being a geek and because I was procrastinating something, I made this test this test again. All is fine, it says I'm only 13,28% geek :P

9.548%. huff.

tbh it's pretty reliant on computer/coding/older nerd stuff. And doesn't register if you're like a Shakespeare nerd or collect trading cards or whatever very well. *ruminates about how one would make a more accurate nerd test*

Just thinking about that should give +50% on the test. :D

To be fair, there are a few questions about MTG and gaming cons and spending nights reading instead of partying. I don't think it's very unfairly balanced towards coding and computers, since advanced computer stuff is imho much geekier than reading (saying this as someone who has always read a lot of literature, but doesn't code anymore). Reading is available to anyone literate. Building or fixing a computer on your own needs a bunch of extra skills they don't normally teach in school.

If I were to criticize it, I'd say the unfair part is the very strong bias towards sci-fi and fantasy fandoms while not well representing other types of literature or movies one could be geeky about. I love sci-fi and not even I have read everything on that list (not even talking about movies or series since those just aren't my thing very much).

Only 22% here. ;p I expect if there were more literary/history questions, our scores would be much higher.

This. What about good old history nerds? And the artsy & crafty people?
Wrong questions  :P (I got 11%)

Judging by your scores, I'm definitively not-so-geek ^^

Only 22% here. ;p I expect if there were more literary/history questions, our scores would be much higher.
I have "I have been to museums by my own freewill" or "I have read Russian literature outside class" to "help" me, but I check the five more boxes for things like "I'm the person who read all the texts in museums", or "I do the NaNoWriMo", and you're right, I might be a little more geek. In a different way ::)

This. What about good old history nerds? And the artsy & crafty people?
