Things you never knew you needed:  you can dial a number and talk to a random person in Sweden.

That's amazing! Really tempted to call it now...

What are your other language options? (...There is more than one language option? Lucky!)

At least if you end up doing badly with it, you might be able to find someone here who could help you practice? : D

Spanish and Latin were the other two options.

Politics, urgh. It has been suggested I join in, but no. I have several relatives who are or have been in politics, and I  have noticed that the ones who have succeeded at it had to compromise more than I could, and the ones who stayed honest weren't very effective. Not my field, I think.

Half the time I don't know what's going on. I'm just thankful I'm not old enough to vote yet, because for now at least I don't need to worry about who is the best candidate. I can just hate all of them.

Yeah, that's basically my view on politics too. I have learned a bit from hearing my parents talk though: Basically, Liberals make the country bankrupt to stimulate the economy, Conservatives try to keep the economy stable and usually fail.

Spanish and Latin were the other two options.

If you want my two cents, I liked learning Spanish more than I liked learning Latin. The languages themselves are not too far removed from one another, but the teaching style of each varies pretty widely (mostly because Latin isn't something that people really speak anymore). So if you'd prefer learning how to have a conversation and learn to speak a language, I'd go for Spanish. If you're not into that and would rather spend your time translating old Roman myths, give Latin a try.

I can't speak for French because... well... I can't speak a lick of French. :P

And I liked studying French more than I liked studying Latin, because it's a living language so it gave me access to culture that's more relevant to me. Specifically, the French and Belgians make tons of good comics.

Kick, it's worth mentioning that there are duolingo courses for both French and Spanish. You could practice there and build up your confidence in school.

Perfect. ...Though rather down-east centric, grumblegrumble. (And there's another Canadian Problem right there: When lists like these are really Ontario Problems)
