I've been to sauna in Finland.  I'd go back in a heartbeat!
Keep an eye on me. I shimmer on horizons.

...next time, try going one cup at a time.
And only few drops of the oil. If any.

Welcome!

I'll be in Tampere at the beginning of July. Not sure yet about plans before/after.  I may fly in and out of Helsinki again, or I may try and go via Reykjavík or Oslo on the way there or back.

I'm hoping there'll be a meetup of some sort while I'm there!

Oh, I have considered attending. First time for me for anything like that.

A meet up would be nice! Do we have anybody from Tampere here? I lived there for a few years, a few years back.
I guess there will be plenty of Minnions in Helsinki.

But for Tampere, a place to visit

If we ever have an international Minnion meet-up in Finland, we should arrange a "how to use a sauna" class for our foreign guests... :D
We spoke about that in December... ::)

I actually wrote a guide on how to sauna for our home-exchange manual. Mostly took stuff from the finnish sauna society website.

I believe there will be a few of us going there.  And then I can use one of my few words of Finnish. The extremely-important "olut"

Good luck! I'm procrastinating at home before a weekend of working 12-19 hours shifts, the longest one today and the relatively shorter ones saturday and sunday. Hopefully relatively quiet with some sleep during the night too, but ughbu I would like to stay at hoooome!

Clearly, packing early for a travel is something overestimated. (Who will have to finish her bag too late tonight and will wonder if she's forgetting something during hours ?)

So long as they have stores where you're going, you haven't forgotten anything ;)

I have to agree !! No matter how hard I try I always procrastinate packing and end up just throwing a bunch of stuff together last minute which leads to of course almost always forgetting something.

Also, I just heard a loud buzzing noise outside and thought it might be a motor but I looked and there's A TON OF BEES EVERYWHERE like just a thick cloud of bees everywhere right outside D= I was just about to go have reading in the hammock time but nope that's canceled for today, because bees. I just turned on my fire place cuz I heard noises in it and I was like "dang, what if bees are coming down the chimney now ?" aaand one also got in the window a few minutes ago.

One of the neighbors must have knocked down a bee hive nearby or something because wow. They're everywhere ?!
