In particular the creative corner is very good for growing one’s post count. Obviously by posting your work, if that’s your jam (note that the works don’t need to be polished up, just a short idea is also a delight), but also by discussing others’ works. And the re-read could obviously use some more commentary, also on the earlier parts than what is in the current schedule.

Hallo!! I thank you for the plentiful cake! I'm honoured to have reached such a momentous milestone here - I'm certainly not the longest-serving or most active forum member, but this place and the people here are really important to me.

The derelict airport I choose to rule is Changi Airport in Singapore. This is actually the airport I have passed through the most times! While I do not live in Singapore, it is where my mother grew up and so we went back every few years as a child to visit my grandparents and my mum's sister. Every time I have travelled outside Australia I have passed through Singapore airport, whether it be to Malaysia or (once) to Vietnam and Cambodia. I have memories of delayed flights, exploration with my brothers, lots of fun with the travellators.

It's also a very large airport with lots of cool features and as such would be very cool to explore in a post-apocalyptic setting, especially since its large amount of internal gardens and tropical location means it would likely end up very overgrown. The runway area has a whole system of canals and whenever I land there I always wonder what kind of ecosystem has managed to set itself up in such a place.

JoB, I was thinking more on the lines of general post-apocalypseness, as a tropical area it would be truly and utterly lost to the Rash. But the links are again fascinating! The advertisement would give me a heart attack for sure!

Keep Looking, congratulations on gaining Changi Airport! And while I can see problems with the tropical setting, I can also see great opportunities. Once a building like that was cleared of beasts and trolls, I reckon you could build a quite good survival ecology there, with aquaponics, fishponds, rice paddies, and food plants growing in indoor gardens. Have to do something to reinforce those big windows though…..

Oh, the otters are a hot topic in Singapore. They've been getting more abundant. Some people love them, some people hate them. Apparently they've been coming into the gardens near my grandparents' condo complex and eating the fish out of the fish ponds.
