how did you find listening to WTNV as a non-native English speaker?
The narrator is easy enough to understand for me because he is always speaking so calmly and clearly. I guess I miss some of the references, but that doesn't diminish the fun. I'm always looking for good ways to keep up my English listening comprehension. After watching three series of Downton Abbey, it is fun to listen to some American English as a change  ;)

Ooooh how was it? Please tell us EVERYTHING.

It was great to see everyone in person!  I asked my daughter what she liked and she went starry-eyed again and basically retold the whole show to me.  I know they are releasing it online later so I don't want to say too much.

We were both impressed with the skinnyness of Carlos' jeans though.  Don't even know how he got those on, dang.  And the part where he and Cecil were talking was flipping adorable.

Haha, that's an interesting thing to be impressed by!
Cecil and Carlos were a big draw for me in the beginning, I definitely can say I came into the fandom for them and stayed for... well, everything else.

I definitely like my creepy entertainment media to have an element of cute.  :-)

Just finished it. Did not expect that end.

Spoiler: show
Just another reminder that time's off in that city.

And what with Leonard dying and still being alive? Or is Night Vale just a city of the dead and that's why no one remembers when they're born and exist for ages and ages and ages? What was used to transfer the broadcast before radio was invented? Is there somewhere a Night Vale that has ended in 1983 in another dimension/timeline?

So many questions once you start thinking about it or see your tumblr dash…

Well yeah, I thought it was off but not THAT off. Like, HOW OLD IS CECIL, THEN??? Obviously he ages since you can hear his voice change over time but maybe he just ages really slowly? And also, what about Lee Marvin who is perpetually, it seems, 30 years old? That's actually a little less weird than the whole PARALLEL UNIVERSES thing, but it's still HELLA WEIRD.

Oooooold. And how old is Leonard!? I bet he was radio host for nearly as long as Cecil and he's still alive.
Just when did Night Vale begin? Is that town even supposed to make any sense at all?

I actually went and checked him on wikipedia as soon as Cecil mentioned his first 30th birthday to see how old he actually grew…

I found this on TV Tropes:
Spoiler: show
"Episode 67 shows that he first became an radio intern not only before Night Vale was founded, but before the existence of radio. The earliest confirmed year in that episode is in the early 1930s, by which point he has been an intern for many years.
his first ever report as an Intern was of the foundation of Night Vale - stated in "History Week" to be 1745"
Sooooo.... NOBODY KNOWS I GUESS? SUPER OLD? EVERYONE IS SUPER OLD

TV Tropes for the rescue! (not gonna go there now, I'll forget to eat again… That side is a black hole, I swear.)

Spoiler: show
Okay, so Cecil premiered with the foundation of Night Vale. But he also grew up in Night Vale. And before there was another radio host for Night Vale that he idolised. AAAARGH! I think I'll have to go for a Doctor Who explanation here:
"People assume that time is a strict progression of cause to effect, but, actually, from a non-linear, non-subjective viewpoint, it's more like a big ball of wibbly-wobbly... timey-wimey... stuff."

And now all the Cecil headcanons have to be altered to those of an old geezer. :P

Well, a lot of people have brought up the possibility of
Spoiler: show
alternate/parallel universes too, which would explain the fact that Cecil has a tape of his report on Leonard Burton's dead (despite the fact that he obviously isn't?), and a tape on the fact that Night Vale ceased to exist in 1983, and other things that seem mutually exclusive. It does fit in with the other weird mismatches that have happened before, like whatever Leann Hart uncovered about Michigan.

Solo sucked me into WTNV, so I'm now a fan. Only just finished episode 13, so it will probably take me a while to catch up.

There are worse things to be sucked into than Night Vale. (You could end up in Desert Bluffs! :O )

I did some binge listening last year when becoming a fan, up to the Old Oak Doors episodes. And then I had to wait for the next updates…
