When Do They Abandon? When It's No Longer Standin'?

Is that thing seriously
Trying to eat through the trunk?
It'll get there eventually,
Taking time but they'll be sunk.

"This isn't going to take long",
He says, manifesting a light spear.
When it's ninety percent gone,
Do they abort the mission here?

The teeth and claws snap and slash,
At the bark of the tree roots.
Inevitably, done at long last,
The tree starts snapping underfoot.

One side of the foundation sawn,
Pitching, unseating the spruce.
It seems to be a conclusion foregone
That hell's fury will be let loose.
A man left his Icelandic home
Escaped to Denmark to freely roam
With hair braided red
He got hit on the head
With a crate lid slammed onto his dome

Shocked And Appalled, See You Next Fall

The damaged tree uproots,
Toppling forthwith.
Wee cub leaves and shoots
Directly off of the cliff.

Faces of horror and shock...
And disappointment mild.
Sent dashing onto the rocks
Is the unfortunate bear child.
A man left his Icelandic home
Escaped to Denmark to freely roam
With hair braided red
He got hit on the head
With a crate lid slammed onto his dome

Mother Bear In Bitter Despair

Down, down the weighted tree,
Bouncing hard, as it plummets.
Descendant descending fatally
To the base from atop the summit.

With each impact, shudders felt,
Steadily splintering apart.
A chain of increasing damage dealt.
Crushing, breaking to the heart.

Each heavy strike chipping, notching,
Battered, bloody, broken, bound.
Monster matriarch despairs in watching,
Helpless as it goes crashing down.

She's On A Bender To The Offenders

Sharply turning,
To the offenders,
Fury burning,
Justice to render.

A ritual deep,
Spellbound, rapt.
It cannot keep,
Severed with a tap.

The others hide,
He's in the open.
He's in her sights
With high emotions.

Onni must flee,
The threat impose-d.
They must leave it be,
As mother closes.
A man left his Icelandic home
Escaped to Denmark to freely roam
With hair braided red
He got hit on the head
With a crate lid slammed onto his dome

Jittery Hurtles, Injuries Mortal?

Down mama scurries,
Off the cliff, riled.
Sprinting in worry
Of the bear juvenile.

Sliding down the slope,
The mother with impetus.
Coming with forlorn hope,
It survived the precipitous.

Headless bear after,
In a similar vein.
Finding thereafter
A trunk in scarlet chains.

Escaped to Denmark to freely roam

Mistakenly Dropped Fatally

The damage surveyed,
The lifeless cadaver.
Chains loosed and laid,
Fatally battered.

Haemorrhaging, slumped,
Under the tree's weight.
Only now the headless comes,
To see the sibling's fate.

The perpetrators swarming,
Spectators in stunned awe.
Matriarch in mourning,
Opens her colossal maw.

Tremendous Sonance Will Bring It Upon Us

The fury provoking,
Loss most deplorable.
The quiet is broken
By a roaring undeniable.

The vocal volume spikes
And the decibels soar.
Cries will attract the likes
Of which they can ill afford.

Sending clamorous waves
By indignation incurred.
In a faraway shaded cave,
A creature there stirs...

Escaped to Denmark to freely roam

Angry For Losses, Gangly Colossus

Vehement passion now,
Frothing mad at the mouth.
It's hard to imagine how
It could go further south.

The death dealing colossus
Bursts on the scene, aggravated.
Things were pretty awful,
But they just got worse they did.

The dumpster's on fire.
Burn abandoned characters?
No, they will go on.

And I also thank you, corncobman, for keeping the peotry alive.

Meeting Their Doom? Leaving Not Much Room

Plans from the start, flawed,
That much was assumed.
Their enthusiasm thaws
With living corpses exhumed

Dragged, reactive, drawn
From the cavernous gloom.
Running ragged, rushing, raw.
Notions of flight consume.

From things that bite and gnaw
There's barely any room.
To escape from the maw
Of the creeping giant doom.

Plans Have Been Unravelled, He'd Prefer They All Time Travelled

The group exits the vicinity
Of the furiously mad mother.
Ere they catch death unwittingly,
By the drawing in of the other.

Do they have any inclination
Of what their next move should be?
Onni'd prefer if they navigated
In time, and left him alone, you see!

In there, a building they can access,
They can't take a stand in open areas.
The window they impress and ingress,
Now it's time to set up some barriers.

No Use Sneaking, Vengeance Seeking

"Let's find a way to the roof,
If we get a good, hidden vantage..."
But before there they can hoof it,
Enter mama bear - shocking, savage.

Sigrun's words are interrupted,
By the paned impactful slam.
Another plan deconstructed.
'No sneaking' says ursine madame.

Losing Their Cohesion, Can't Understand Norwegian

The roar by the window
Puts paid to that plan.
No using stealth to go,
But upwards still they can.

"Follow me!" She orders,
She says "Take higher ground!"
But they each ignored her,
Don't they hear Norwegian sounds?

The mage intent to not die
By that bear if he can help it.
The rest just followed the guy,
So the group just up and split.

Can't Be Left Behind. Welp Nevermind.

"Fine", Sigrun concedes,
They need to not be divided,
However big mama disagreed,
Thus a reunion denied them.

Barely set foot on the steps,
When in crashing she comes.
The behemoth can't be kept,
They must away from their chums.

"Nevermind." Quietly panicky.
Self-preservation, they know.
They must escape most dynamically,
Full reverse! Go go go!
