With Them Stayed, Collectors Prepaid

His wayward son gathered,
Returning the braid.
For this debt, says the father,
They must be repaid.

A room while they're there,
They all must be in need.
An honour for their care,
To host, entertain and feed.

"What's he saying?" asks Sigrun,
"Free lodging." Mikkel responds.
For a handout from the grumpy one,
Asking a paycheck of Trond.

He's directed to the Swede,
Let them go to the coffers!
Several collectors agreed,
Reserved and prepaid their offers.

For the list they sent out,
And auctioning off the rest.
They can settle their accounts,
Even bonuses redressed.
A man left his Icelandic home
Escaped to Denmark to freely roam
With hair braided red
He got hit on the head
With a crate lid slammed onto his dome

Horde Of Reporters, Should Have Ignored Her

A reporter horde,
Three of them there.
To be on record
Has some of them scared.

They're semi-famous!
Although it might be much.
No thoughts of entertaining,
His face in Onni's clutch.

Sigrun much enthused,
Excitedly responds "YES!"
This won't be refused
By the Norwegian most best.

"I don't speak Icelandic"
But she understands his words.
He tries to be slick, but
Finnish she says undeterred.

Nothing Emil can do,
"You got me! Swedish!" he snapped.
For this interview,
The lady's got him trapped.

Escaped to Denmark to freely roam
With hair braided red
He got hit on the head
With a crate lid slammed onto his dome

White Clover Growths, Keep Them Both

Emil getting grilled,
His dismay makes the news.
While imparts Mikkel,
His botannical views.

Well enough questions asked,
They have business to bank.
The gardening enthusiasts
Will have them to thank.

Receiving remuneration,
Some kissing their cash.
Lalli has duplication,
One he tries to pass.

Staring bemuse-d,
Mistakenly assigned?
But Onni refuses.
They're his, he declines.

"See you all later!"
To eat at restaurants fine.
Remember, at the station,
To be there in time.

Won't Be Dodging Free Lodging

Don't worry about it.
She knows how to tell time.
Don't want to miss that housing,
Since it won't be on her dime.

"Hey, Onni!" calls Reynir,
"Uh, do you remember me?"
Yes, his memory is clear,
An enduring twerp is he.

They're going to get a bite,
Both Reynir and his family.
The pair he invites,
Then they can go to sightsee.

Later, Reynir, Sitting And Waiting Here?

No sightseeing, doubtless,
They aren't in the mood.
"Go on without us."
Go ahead, get your food.

Sitting by the station,
Are the cousins in spells.
No quiet observation,
As beside them is a yell.

"Seriously?!" he shouted,
Waiting, frustrating so.
He could have gone out there,
If he could speak the lingo.

Owl Scowl, Witch Ditched

Complaining no end,
"This is just pathetic."
Is that the chosen friend?
Onni just doesn't get it.

Emil gets up to at least
Go take look at the shops.
Wonders won't cease,
The cat to his feet hops.

A bewildered mind,
Onni left in exile.
The Swede looking behind
With a pleasant smile.

The offer was declined,
But he changed his mind quick.
Why is he now inclined?
Maybe the problem's Icelandic...

Having Fun, Cinnamon Buns

Looking at shop shoes,
Wandering the streets.
A stall barbecue,
With hot dogs to eat.

In a restaurant dining,
The Dane and the Norse.
Both smiles shining
With a slap-up course.

The kitty plays free,
A companion in a hotel,
A bakery with pastries,
Can't keep away from the smell.

Magic in the family
In mother's happy arms.
Such a great help he'll be
On the Árnason farm...

Escaped to Denmark to freely roam
With hair braided red
He got hit on the head
With a crate lid slammed onto his dome

Aunty Helga Was A Spell Gal

Lalli and Emil be
Bun and boxes laden.
Passing by the family
Of the young man braided.

They have other mages
In the family Árnason?
In the blood through the ages
Aunt Helga was the last one.

Really old aunty Helga?
Oh, she was a grouch.
As far as they could tell, she
Was always yelling "ouch".

It's just the way she was,
She loved her occupation.
Time to bring this to close,
That's enough conversation.

In the same station,
Arms crossed a man sits.
Onni sits in impatience,
They return bearing gifts.

Escaped to Denmark to freely roam
With hair braided red
He got hit on the head
With a crate lid slammed onto his dome

Ate A Glut And Bust Her Guts

Sigrun the glutton,
Ate too much where they went.
She has broken guts, and
Has her money all spent.

The Norwegian is fine,
According to the Dane.
Most of her bottom line,
99 percent still remains.

Empty houses, there are lots.
Are those buildings in use?
They used to be, now not.
For reasons of produce.

There were back in the day,
The city was way more full.
Since then many vacated,
For food and life arable.

On Him Swede Foisted, Shoulder Moistened

A lot of the towns
Away from the shores
Weren't even found
Like that before.

Such as the Árnason's,
It didn't exist.
Reynir's sure everyone
Will all love it.

The beset elder owl,
Surrounded and cramped.
He suffers with a scowl,
'Cos his shoulder is damp.

Onni still disgruntled by
The long winding road.
Reynir walking in front and
Welcomes them to his abode.

Well, Here They Are, Home Is Brúardalar

A bright little town,
In this location remote.
Close to the ground,
By nature kept afloat.

Atop steps do they peer,
At the houses commons.
"Brúardalar" says Reynir,
Which one is the Árnasons?

Sheep Swamped, Coat Chomped

The elder two squaddies,
Relax on the hut roof.
The Finnish owl plods, he
Goes in search of truth.

The three members younger,
Surrounded by sheep.
For garments they hunger,
The Swede's he'd like to keep!

Lose interest, they'll maybe
Lalli stays mightily still.
But unfortunately they be
Still up in his grill...

Not Making Sense, New Best Friends

This is where they live,
The Árnason plot.
It's nice, isn't it?
"Mh" is all he got.

Reynir, sweetheart,
You set up your two friends.
To his room, do his part,
And the others she will tend.

A nonplussed Swedish face,
He didn't request this.
Out of the blue, an embrace
With his brand new besties...

Escaped to Denmark to freely roam

Not 'Best Friends' With You, Down, Please. Shoo?

He easily makes friends,
Sorry about his mother.
He had to pretend,
Hope it wasn't a bother.

Since they're similar ages,
They must be best chums.
A miscommunication major,
"Best friends" are not them.

He'll get the mattresses spare,
But before he can do so,
Lalli without any care
Is on Reynir's bed, oh no!

Not A Hotel For Thee, Lodging For Free

After trudging through hell,
He gets no room for private.
Emil, you don't have to yell,
This is as good as it gets.

His ire set ablaze,
The Swedish fop rages.
With his mattress raised.
Tipped over the mage is.

From adjacent he's shush-ed,
Far too noisy Emil be.
You shouldn't be pushy, when
You're staying there for free.
