Emil the flame cleanser is one of my favorite art pieces, and you MUST draw it solo.

And be careful not to steal any Disney ideas, I'm still trying to upload them (how does this scanner thing WORK?! No, wait, for tell me, I WILL get to it by myself)

I was totally going to make something with a lot more effort and time involved but then homework happened and I think my brain has turned to mush. Only one week till holidays hooray! Then I can finally do all these characters justice.

Ahhh his uniform isn't even right. I need more sleep.

The cats of the Dalahasten, in human form. I tried to make the uniforms unique, but similar to the crew's uniform. I also tried to make them androgynous as I don't know what gender the cats are. Hope you enjoy them :D!

Eh, well, here's my homework sketch from yesterday:

Someday I want to draw some really nice fan art but... I keep getting sidetracked...

I'd love to see the final result of that! :D
It seems like Emil just can't get the chance to give a good first impression!

A wand’ring cat, a seeing cat,
Shadowing master’s quiet tread:
Through forests dark they wend their way;
The spirits hark, and then obey;
A meek, mysterious mage’s cat,
With ink-black coat and powers fey.
This peom inspired this.

Oooh, those blessed felines are nice!~ And I like the Mage's Cat :) It's a very interesting interpretation of the poem.

And yay! We have the sailor Lalli in residence! :D Forever immortalised.

As soon as we get a proper picture of the uniforms they're currently wearing, I'll update that Emil and give him shoes and sparkles, haha.

I don't know if this counts as "Art" but... I play a lot of Sims 3 and I thought "hey why don't I make part of our crew?". I AM working on a bigger piece of fanart that isn't finished yet, but I'll share this in the meantime.

Tuuri was pretty easy to make~ Had to approximate her hair but you can see that adorable Hotakainen nose in its full glory.

Lalli's hair is too long, I realize, but I'm pretty happy with him. I actually just made a copy of Tuuri, changed the gender, and tweaked some other things since his face is less round

Emil... was difficult. Obviously he had to have riciulously perfect hair, but his face gave me problems. I think I got his nose right? And probably not much else. Sorry. I put him in his black shirt instead of the expedition uniform because why not.

Basically if you learn anything from this post, it's that making 3D models based on 2D comic sketches is really hard. Also, if anyone else plays and would like the files for these, let me know!

The Prologue Cats. From left to right: Grandma Eide's cat, Magnus (Michael Madsen's cat), Misu-misu (the Hotakainen's cat), and the Vasterstrom cat. I keep drawing these cat people cause I love to draw cat ears and tails, not because I can't draw animals to save my life.

I thought we needed a Magical Girl Tuuri. :D

(I swear, I can actually draw, but I didn't feel like trying to scan something, so I just did it in Paint)

Preview of something I'm working on.

Also, joy of joys, the size code works. So, if your image is much too large, and you can't be bothered resizing it (like me), just add width=300 (or whatever width you desire) after [img and it'll resize the image, keeping the ratio intact. Using height= should work, also.

The total code should look like this:

Code: [Select]

Or this:

Code: [Select]

Or even this (only recommended if you know the exact ratio of your picture, otherwise the image gets distorted):

Code: [Select]

hkshdgjlshlah Lenny that is amazing oh my god. Puts my meager art skills to shame... I really need to keep working on my Braidy/Emil fanart, but the former is kind of hard to draw with so few references.
