Ooh, very nice! I may have spent a good minute or so trying to figure out if there was anything nasty lurking in the shadows.
I don't think there is...

Ooh, this is so pretty *.* (tbh all your art is so pretty)
I particularly like the hair for some reason.

It's because Emil's hair is fabulous in any medium it's drawn in  :))

So I've had this idea in my head for a couple of days, and I just finished this. The lighting was a bit of a challenge, I could never seem to make it dark enough without washing everything out. Those footprints were also hard to fit in there because I'd already drawn the sketch of Emil, and I didn't want to change the pose dangit. I figured both out eventually though. Also, I used like 36 layers. I didn't want to mess anything up. XD This is sorta like that Lalli I drew a few months ago? Except waaaay better.

Oh, and thanks for the comments on that Reynir drawing!

The mood on this drawing is so beautiful! And Emil looks very handsome. *-*

Have some stats on that art:
Mikkel - 270 (14%)
Now that clearly calls for more Mikkel art. I was going to do more shading on his jacket (and draw more jacket, as it is now it is just a bit unbalanced). Buut since my patience just hit the wall and is down for the count, here's a Mikkel portrait that I've been working on on and off the past two weeks. (Critique is welcome, but since I'm not sure I'm going to do more on this drawing, I'm still posting it here and not in the art critique thread, I hope that's ok!) :D

blackberryblossoms - such a nice little Lalli!
shoop - you're a master of Emil drawings!
Daéa Reina - It's lovely, and yes, you should draw Onni more often!
Haiz - I have no words for aviator kitty :3 (and I kind of want a 'MIU' jacket now)
Martti - your hetalia-ssss team looks just awesome!
shaeira - yeah... we were waiting for this question in the comic :)
Johannabelle - wow, it seems, your Emil was the 2000th piece of art here. Fabulous!

edit: Unlos, a Mikkel at the right time :) I especially like the colouring of his eyes.

Oh, new statistics!
Poor Mikkel is still the last; he clearly needs more fanart.

His face reminds me of Vladimir Putin for reasons unknown. I like the way you did the hair and skin, looks pretty convincing. If you want critique, the area around his left eye looks somewhat strange compared to the rest of the face. I can't quite put my finger on it why though.

--

Anyhow, I wanted to draw a Finnish landscape, but I also wanted to draw something SSSS related because the costume design is just so nice.

Solution: draw a landscape with a generic Finnish night scout in it. There's a severe shortage of Mikkel and Tuuri art, but sadly this one won't add to that.

Not quite sure if I like the extra sharpness created when re-sizing or not. What I do like is the version without the foreground, because it shows the whole sky which I'm quite happy with:

Ahh your realism is improving so rapidly! It looks good. as for critique...im not much for anatomy but try using brushstrokes with less opacity! or less blending. either/or. I find it helps makes shapes more defined and helps you out with placement sometimes.

Aw cute!! You are a master of Mikkel drawings, haha. I love slice of life art like this.
