OK SO
I met Ann Marie this friday and she gave me some leftover czech cash she wasn't going to need
so I turned it into a sort of commission
the request was "How about um um... iono.  Lalli and Emil as dragons!"

so here we go
awkward teenager dragons

swamp/lake dragon Lalli!! his wings are still growing out

volcano??dragon Emil? he breathes fire but still learning to control it

I'm not sure how well I captured the likeness of the characters, but I tried! Request was only Lalli and Emil, but I'm very tempted to draw dragon!Sigrun... and dragon!reynir.... and entir crew..... because dragons.

why, yes, people did call me "dragon girl" at grade school

These look great! The contrasting body types really set them apart. And what a creepy coincidence is it that I was also sketching a Lalli-dragon in the morning, before I even had a chance to check the forum? *shudders* ;D

WHOA!! I have no idea how you manage to draw all those clear lines, but your lineart is amazing anyway \o/

I use the vector tool to do most of the long lines. It lets you place points along the line you intend to make, and adjust the way you want the line to flow off each point toward the next. It results in super sharp, neat lines.

I'm not sure how I feel about this coloring. I have a tendency to overwork the shading when I'm trying to depict bright or harsh light, so I tried to be gentle. I feel Emil turned out well, but the monster I'm not so sure about. I'm not sure if it's the coloring, or that I used finer lineart on him.

The next picture will be Sigrun scoffing at the golf book, and then I may do Reynir hopping between dream worlds, though I'm open to suggestions about what to pose him and the remaining crew doing.

Not meaning to bombard the board, but as I was uploading, the screen displayed a grayed out image, and I thought this would look much creepier. I do not know which I prefer.

Ooh, I like this one.

The grayed out one has this cool effect of making the troll appear as if it is lurking out of the shadows, which helps with the horror atmosphere  :D

And now I'm going to have to follow that awesomeness with some sketches I had to do to get The Boys out of my system.

And this cruddy Reynir I'm not particularly proud of, but meh, I drew it, might as well post it

Hey all! I haven't had time to draw OR socialise properly for ages and won't for quite some time yet, but what I do have is art withdrawal, boring lectures, and cheap notebooks with plain brown covers, so this happened.

It's years since I last had the guts to take ink to paper without pencil sketches, and it shows :'D
I did sketch the team emblem, cleanser cat and the soulbird, and had references open for a few of the others too.
Wow, this is incredible! I thought it was a carving or something first O_O

I prefer this one, since I think it's creeepier :P The shading on Emil works better with the darker background as well :)

As if the last comic pages hadn't already given me enough Emil feels for the rest of the decade, the weekend (not quite)cliffhanger almost made me weep. Soooo, Emil|Feels driven fanart, yay! (buhuhuuu!) If I had to put it a title it would be "Hey, at least you tried, thank you!".

I should keep away from photoshop, really. It doesn't work for me.
Aw, this is so sweet and heartbreaking ;w;

I think the designs really fit them both and Lalli's is gorgeous!! OwO

This too looks amazing!!!!!!!!!! I think your shading looks spot-on!  ;D I especially like the greyed-out version!

I haven't posted in a little in this thread, so... compliments to all the lovely artists posting their gorgeous/humorous/amazing work!

Trinka when did you do these?! I've been gone less than 24 hours and you were not sketching these when I left, what inspired you?

Not on my game today with drawing, but I felt like doing something silly :P so in my defense.. I was bored.

Is there a Bad-Handwriting-Club I can join?

Coyoteshlaugh: that's amazing, again. I think the second version works a little better, with the contrast in colours!
Trinka: aaaaa such lovely sketches
Martti: yes. yes absolutely. also I approve of any and all drawings of Sigrun done in that black shirt
Koi: .......wat
Tjoll: aaa the comic keeps being hilarious! your expressions are perfect

also thank you everyone who commented on the dragonssssss
I'm way more pleased with how Lallidragon turned out than Emildragon, but then again I had a much clearer image of what he'd look like, and I had no idea what colour scheme to pick for Emil...
ANYWAY I'm gonna. dragonify rest of the crew. I'm too excited not to, now. But it may take some time, so in the meantime, have SWEATHER DRAGONS:

+ concept sketches from yesterday

I absolutely adore the sweater dragons!!! :D
Also, for some reason, I like the sketches of Emil dragon a lot better than the color version! I've no idea why, though. Perhaps it has to do with the color scheme you had difficulties deciding upon? The design looks cool, anyway!
