So I'm not saying I prefer her masculine, but when I saw it, I was like, "yes... that is spot-on design".
I'm so ok with this. Yessss to everyone's bent version, they looks scarily accurate. Emil's still a fav because of reasons.
aheheh thanks
Emil is my fav too because of reasonsI think it kind of speaks to Minna's already-androgynous designs though that nobody really changes all that much !
Yeah! I think the many androgynous designs is one of the reasons I was so drawn to this comic in the first place, though. AND I have my many major pet peeves with genderbending......... Because I do indeed love me some good redesigning, especially in media where the casts are like 90% diverse male character designs, and the rest are Very Similar female designs...... flip that around, and you get very cool and diverse female characters, and androgynous pretty boys, HUEHUEHUE.
BUT then there are so many times when people will take all these diverse male characters and turn them into thin and conventionally pretty girls (regardless of the canon version's face shape/body type) in overly feminine/revealing outfits that don't necessarily match their personality.....
and the entire implication that there is a certain way to look like a boy and a certain way to look like a girl...... I mean, just this weekend I walked around with a
shirt explaining I'm not a girl, I currently have short hair, I'm trying to look somewhat androgynous... and YET there's something about me that make people refer to me as a girl no matter what I do? And like, I shouldn't HAVE to look utterly androgynous to "look agender". So uh yeah it's kind of a frustrating side to all of this.
BUT AS I SAID i do love me some good redesigns
even when I try so hard to not change them too much because of all these reasons
.......... I'm just causing all these conflicts for myself. I can't believe it
also hello I'm team genderfluid reynir and agender lalli but that's neither here nor there
