Grey-cat... mmm, now i can't watch any of the previous mermaid-arts that we had here... But your piece is also wonderful!
I SUPPORT THIS SO HARD
Thanks guys, I'm glad you liked it ^^
By the way, I agree with Sunny, I saw that new thread the other day and it look like a good idea. I also agree with others that putting the art on both threads seems like the best idea. :)

I just wanted to say that all the Tuuri arts have been wonderful these last few days. They are sad, and funny, and beautiful, and it has been very nice to see so many things produced

I'll add my thanks to the wonderful artists here, who have posted such lovely Tuuri art over the last few days.
They really are healing to the soul.

Johannabelle, that's good. I especially liked her expression, and the designs on the book spines.

I posted this in the "In Memory of Tuuri Hotakainen" thread, but realized I might get more opinions here.
I've already started on a 3d model of Tuuri, but am having trouble deciding on a pose to do for her, since there aren't a huge amount of full body, posed, and detailed pictures of Tuuri.
Right now, I'm considering a pose from any of these pages: 444, 653, 656, 743
But I'm so indecisive about it. Any thought? Opinions?

Btw, I also did a model Reynir for a class (I need to finish it at some point though): http://montaeishungry.deviantart.com/art/Reynir-Arnason-Posed-Model-678253932

I'm no expert in 3D modeling, but when i'm designing or getting acquainted to a character, i usually start with a basic, simple pose. I'd go with the one on the "characters" page first.

Yeah, but it's common to model in a neutral pose, then pose it out later. A nice pose would help if I were able to use it as a portfolio piece

Of those choices, I would nix 656 on the grounds of 'how does anatomy even work anyway.'  Too hard.
nix 653? - maybe, but kinda sorta... crumpled.
nix 743 - someone on tumbler skewered this pose rather effectively recently, as legs just don't work like that while running (or flying). and also horrible connotations of where and why she is running but your teacher down't know that
pg 444 - a decent choice, could do.
I nominate the pose at the top of this very page, walking along jauntily.

Thank you, I think I will go with page 444. I kinda like the profile view of her face. It must look good from all angles as well, but especially in that angle. (Plus, at least I wouldn't have to worry about the crazy mask design then)
